TOWSON, Md. – At the conclusion of the 2013 Landmark Swimming & Diving Championships, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy's Kevin Lindgren and Susquehanna's Devin Lessard were named the Men's and Women's Swimmers of the Year. USMMA's William Porter and Scranton's Colleen Barry were chosen as the Men's and Women's Divers of the Year. The awards along with Rookies of the Year and Coaching Staffs of the Year were selected by the conference coaches.

USMMA swept the individual awards on the men's side including head coach Sean Tedesco and his staff earning Coach of the Year honors. Tedesco was recognized by the Landmark for the fourth time in his career and the first since 2010. The Mariners set a new conference record by earning 924 points at the championship and more than half of Tedesco's team competing at the event earned All-Landmark recognition.

Kevin Lindgren helped lead the Mariners to their 15th consecutive league championship and sixth straight Landmark Conference title over the weekend.  The sophomore recorded the second fastest time in the country this season in the 200 back as his mark of 1:46.70 set pool, meet, Academy, and conference records as well as easily making a NCAA 'A' cut.  Overall, Lindgren captured seven first-place finishes at the 2013 Landmark Conference Championships.  He was a member of the 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 800 free relay, and 400 medley relay teams that all captured gold.  Lindgren also took first-place in three individual events, including the 100 fly, 100 back, and 200 back.

William Porter earned Diver of the Year honors in his rookie campaign. The freshman won the 3-meter dive with a pool record score of 430.15. Porter finished second in the 1-meter dive, just 8.4 points out of first.

USMMA's Jordan Cripe earned Rookie of the Year honors after winning the 1650 freestyle and finishing second in the 500 freestyle and 400 IM. He set a new meet and pool record in the 1650 finishing the race in 16:22.45, less than two seconds off the Landmark record.

Devin Lessard earned Landmark Swimmer of the Year honors for the second consecutive year. She set a meet and NCAA B-cut time in the 200 butterfly prelims after touching the wall in 2:06.98 and in the evening's finals, she set another B-cut mark with her first-place time of 2:05.19. She competed as part of the 200 medley relay team capturing first place with a mark of 1:52.06 as well as the 800 free relay that finished first in 8:05.28. Lessard also took first in the 400 IM with a pool record and a NCAA Division-III B cut time of 4:36.50 and won the 200 IM with time of 2:08.95 which marked a championship and conference record as well as a personal record.

In women's diving, Colleen Barry finished second in the 1-meter dive, just 9.6 points out of first before breaking her own pool record in the 3-meter dive. She finished with a score of 365.85 to win the event for the second consecutive year.

Susquehanna's Kelsey Lessard combined with teammates to win four relays and finished runner-up in the 200 IM to earn Rookie of the Year honors. She also finished third in the 200 breaststroke and sixth in the 100 breaststroke.

Catholic head coach Paul Waas and his staff were honored with Women's Coaching Staff of the Year honors. The Cardinals finished third in the meet while earning 32.5 points more than they did a year ago. Waas also had three women recognized with All-Landmark honors.

First Team All-Landmark honors are awarded to everyone who finishes first at the Landmark Championships while second place finishers earn Second Team All-Landmark recognition. USMMA led the seven men's teams with nine student-athletes named to the First Team while winning eight individual events and four relays. The women's First Team features seven Susquehanna Crusaders who combined to win six individual events and all five relays.
