Jeramie Barletta Selected as Landmark Senior Scholar Athlete
TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference has chosen eight athletes as Landmark Senior Scholar Athletes for their respective spring sports. A committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors and sports information directors selected the recipients, choosing one senior from each of the spring sports sponsored by the conference.
The honorees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and are selected based on their accomplishments in athletics and academics. The conference office will announce the eight honorees over the next two weeks.
Drew University's Jeramie Barletta has been named the Softball Senior Scholar Athlete. Barletta capped off her career for the Rangers with a .407 batting average this season to rank second in the conference. She was awarded First Team All-Landmark honors for her performance. Barletta started every game of her career and she boasts a .301 career average at the plate over four years. She was a three-sport student-athlete at Drew having played two years of soccer and basketball.
Originally from Madison, N.J., Barletta is a political science major. She has earned a 3.98 cumulative grade point average and been recognized on the Landmark Honor Roll seven times, or every time she has been eligible. Barletta is also a four-time Landmark All-Academic Team member including the last two spring seasons. She has been a Dean's List honoree every semester at Drew.
Most recently, Barletta was named a Capital One Academic All-America selection by CoSIDA. The award recognizes both athletic and academic success.
