Rebecca Radcliffe Chosen as Landmark Senior Scholar Athlete

TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference selects 20 senior scholar athletes each year to recognize the top student-athlete in each sport based on academics and athletics.

The honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, and sports information directors. Chosen at the end of each sport season, the final eight honorees will wrap up this week.

Catholic University's Rebecca Radcliffe has been named the Women's Outdoor Track & Field Senior Scholar Athlete. The three-year letter winner capped off her career with two top-10 finishes at this year's Landmark Outdoor Track & Field Championships. She placed fourth in the 10,000 meters and eighth in the 5,000 meters last month. Radcliffe was also a member of Catholic's cross country and indoor track & field teams. She earned First Team All-Landmark Cross Country honors in 2012 when the team claimed the Landmark title.

Radcliffe has earned a 3.51 cumulative grade point average while majoring in biology. She is a two-time Landmark Spring Honor Roll recipient and has received multiple Dean's List honors. Radcliffe is also a member of Phi Eta Sigma honor society and has spent time volunteering for a number of Catholic service projects including March for Life, SOME (So Others May Eat), and DC Reads.
