TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark has announced its 2015 Volleyball All-Conference teams. Juniata's Kelly Reynolds was voted Player of the Year, while teammate Katie Byrne was named Rookie of the Year. Susquehanna's Sarah Paluck was voted as the Specialist of the Year. Juniata head coach Heather Pavlik earned her third Coach of the Year honor.
Reynolds helped guide the Eagles to an overall record of 31-2, a perfect 7-0 record in conference, and their ninth Landmark title. She amassed 1,128 assists (11.17 per set) thru 33 matches, and added 25 kills, 219 digs, and 37 service aces. Reynolds earned First Team All-Landmark honors last year.
Paluck joined Reynolds on First Team. She averaged just over five digs per set against a strong schedule, including the nationally ranked Eagles. Paluck finished with 5.04 digs per set. In the five-set championship match, Paluck recorded 26 digs.
Joining Reynolds and Paluck as First Team selections are: Susuqehanna's Erin Byrne, Scranton's Kristin Kirwan and Stephanie Klug, Catholic's Maria Cristina Juelle, and Juniata's Nakita Gearhart and Megan Moroney.
Juniata's Katie Byrne was honored with the Landmark's Rookie of the Year. Byrne averaged 4.47 digs per set this season, and accumulated 496 total. The freshman led the team in digs, while also adding 41 service aces.
The Coaching Staff of the Year honor marks the fifth for the Eagles and third since Heather Pavlik took over as head coach. Juniata went undefeated in the conference for the ninth straight season before earning its ninth Landmark title. The Eagles have been ranked in the top 25 all season and consistently in the top 10.
