Catholic's Migash Named Women's Basketball Senior Scholar Athlete
TOWSON, Md. – Josephine Migash of Catholic University has been named the 2016 Landmark Conference Senior Scholar Athlete for Women’s Basketball.
Migash, boasts a 3.87 cumulative grade point average as a business and economics major at Catholic. A member of SAAC and Phi Eta Sigma, Migash has been selected to the Landmark Conference Honor Roll three times and earned Dean’s List recognition each semester at Catholic. In the summer of 2015 Migash studied abroad in Ireland where she spent time in Cork, Ballyferriter and Dublin.
The two-year captain earned two Landmark titles, one East Coast Athletic Conference title and made three trips to the NCAA tournament as a member of the Lady Cardinals. During the 2013-14 season, Migash earned First Team All-Conference Honors for her efforts as a post player for the Cardinals. In 2013-14 she was selected to the All-Landmark Second Team.
Along with her time on the court and in the classroom, Migash participated in multiple volunteer opportunities at Catholic. She took place in Catholic’s MLK Day of Service, and Serve with Francis Day, along with spending time with her teammates at the Ronald McDonald House. Migash is also a teaching assistant for both undergraduate and graduate finance classes at Catholic.
