Kade MacGregor Honored as Men's Lacrosse Senior Scholar Athlete

TOWSON, Md. – Susquehanna University defender Kade MacGregor has been named the Landmark Men’s Lacrosse Senior Scholar Athlete for the 2016 season. He is the second SU senior to be honored during the 2015-16 season, joining women’s swimming and diving standout Kelsey Lessard, and he is the second men’s lacrosse student-athlete recognized.

MacGregor earned First Team All-Landmark accolades in each of his final two seasons. He tallied one goal and one assists, with 53 groundballs this season, and finishes his career with 205 groundballs in 70 lifetime appearances.

An accounting major, MacGregor maintains a 3.70 grade-point average in the classroom. He is a member of the International Business Honor Society – Beta Gamma Sigma, which is the top 10 percent of business students. He has made Dean’s List every semester, and has landed on the Landmark’s Academic Honor Roll every eligible semester.

A team captain in his senior season, MacGregor ranks second all-time in games played (70), and is sixth with his 206 groundballs. He is also a member of three 12-win teams, which are all single-season bests in program history.

The Landmark Conference selects 20 senior scholar athletes each year to recognize the top student-athlete in each sport based on academics and athletics.

The honorees must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, and sports information directors. Chosen at the end of each sport season, the eight spring honorees will be announced between May 19-25.
