TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Track & Field coaches voted Saturday evening to select the 2018 Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Year along with Rookies and Coaching Staffs of the Year.

Moravian's John Spirk was voted the Male Track Athlete of the Year, while teammate Zion Howard earned Rookie of the accolades. Susquehanna's Chris Petraskie earned his second straight Field Athlete of the Year honor.

On the women's side, Elizabethtown's Brenna McNamee was chosen as the Track Athlete of the Year and Catholic's Schola Eburuoh was named the Field Athlete of the Year. Sara Arbogast from Susquehanna picked up Rookie of the Year honors.

Moravian head coach Jesse Baumann earned Coaching Staff of the Year for both the men's and women's teams.

Spirk captured gold twice at the championships last Saturday. After winning the 400-meter dash in 51.18. Spirk earned his second trip to the top of the podium in the 60-meter hurdles. He broke his own championship meet record of 8.42, which is set at last year's meet by 16 seconds with his time of 8.26. Spirk has won the event for the last three years.

Petraskie won the triple jump with a school-record leap of 13.75 meters (45' 1 ½"). He also won the high jump clearing 1.93 meters (6' 4") and was first in the long jump with a winning jump of 7.03 meters (23' ¾"). He added to his podium finishes as he helped the 4x400 relay place fourth overall.

Howard took home the gold in the 200-meter dash and helped the 4x200-meter relay team to a first place finish. He also took home the silver in the 60-meter dash. In the 200m race, Howard edged Elizabethtown's Mitch Schlegel with a time of 22.33. In the 4x200-meter relay, he teamed with senior Eric Morton, juniors Chris Antoine and Brian Stock, recording a time of 1:32.92.

McNamee became the first distance runner for the Elizabethtown College women's track and field team to win the 3000m and 5000m at the same indoor Landmark championship meet. She ran the 3k in a 10:40.05, just under two second shy of the championship record. Her 5k time of 18:16.08 was also a personal best and moved her up the all-time list at Etown.

Eburouh scored several points for the Cardinals as she was victorious in the triple jump with a mark of 11.32 meters, a new school record. She also earned the silver in the high jump as she cleared 1.62 meters. She is Catholic's third Field Athlete of the Year selection, joining Mary Clark (2014) and Andrea Galeano (2017).

Arbogast made her way to the podium five times with three second place finishes and two third place finishes. She placed second in both the 200 and 400 meter races with times of 27.23 and 1:01.69 respectively. She was also second in the triple jump with a mark of 10.84 meters. She was third in the long jump (5.06m) and ran with the third place 4x400 relay with a time of 4:13.76. In the relay, she teamed with Toni Alexander, Samantha Reed and Kate Ross.

Moravian's Baumann notched his seventh Men's Coaching Staff of the Year honor. He led the Greyhounds to their 10th Landmark Championship on Saturday. It is his fourth honor on the women's side.

First Team All-Landmark honors are awarded to everyone who finishes first at the Landmark Championships while second place finishers earn Second Team All-Landmark recognition.
