Landmark Announces Men's Lacrosse Award Winners
TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference men's lacrosse coaches voted and selected Elizabethtown junior Jeremy Klipple as the 2018 Player of the Year. Susquehanna's Colton Dick earned Rookie of the Year honors while Etown Head Coach Chris Perzinski and his staff were recognized as Staff of the Year.

Klipple helped the Blue Jays to another stellar season, earning the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Landmark championship. Klipple ranked third in the conference in caused turnovers with 27 while adding 41 groundballs. The junior earns his second First Team honors after making the team in 2017.
Dick made his name known in the conference throughout his rookie campaign. He totaled 38 points on 15 goals and 23 assists, which is second in the conference. He set a conference and school record for assists in a game against King's, dishing out eight. Dick will be making his postseason debut as the River Hawks clinched the No. 1 seed.
Three new faces earn First Team Attacker honors in Matt Woodson (Goucher), Connor Kirkwood (Scranton), and Andrew Porzio (Susquehanna). Kirkwood ranked second in goals with 45 while Porzio finished in third with 35. Woodson led the league with 27 assists to go along with his 16 goals.
Catholic's Bennett Bradley earned his second First Team honor this spring. The senior capped off his impressive career with a league-leading 53 goals, 15 assists, 30 groundballs, and 13 caused turnovers. In his final game as a Cardinal, Bradley broke his own single-game goals record by one as he scored eight times, including the game-winner against Elizabethtown to help the Cardinals to a win on senior day. Joining Klipple as the top defenders in the conference are Scranton's Kieran Pues and Susquehanna's Travis Yaga. Yaga finished the regular season with 20 caused turnovers and 38 groundballs while Pues helped the River Hawk defense that allowed just 43 goals against conference opponents.
A long stick midfielder, Scranton's Adam Maiale led the league with 39 caused turnovers and 58 groundballs. He also added three goals and one assists for four points.
A familiar name in Scranton's Adam Drury was voted as the conference's best Faceoff Specialist. The now three-time First Team selection won 130 of his faceoffs in 187 attempts. In conference play, he went 36-57.
Scranton's Mike Modesti helped the Royals defense post a conference goals-against average of 8.17 and allowed just 49 goals against Landmark teams.
Susquehanna's Dylan Abplanalp had a stellar season for the River Hawks in goal. The junior post a goals-against average of 7.34 with a save percentage of .571. He also made 149 saves.
In his second season as the Blue Jays Head Coach, Chris Perzinzki and his staff led Elizabethtown to its second straight postseason appearance. Etown will enter the championship as the No. 2 seed.
