2018 Senior Scholar Athletes

TOWSON, Md. – The Catholic University of America’s Bennett Bradley has been selected as the 2018 Landmark Men’s Lacrosse Senior Scholar Athlete. He becomes the third Cardinal to earn senior scholar men’s lacrosse accolades and is the sixth Catholic student-athlete this year.

A finance major with a 3.55 GPA, Bradley was an All-Landmark Conference First Team for the second-consecutive season as selected by the league's coaches. Bradley capped off his impressive career with a league-leading 53 goals and added 15 assists to also pace the Landmark with 68 points, 17 more than any other player in the league. The Towson, Md., native also added 30 groundballs, and 13 caused turnovers this season.

In his final game as a Cardinal, Bradley broke his own single-game goals record by one as he scored eight times, including the game-winner against Elizabethtown to help the Cardinals to a win on senior day. He finished the season with three Landmark Offensive Athlete of the Week awards to finish with five in his career.

Last season he was also a USILA / Nike Scholar All-America and IMLCA All-South Region Second Teamer, and is a three-time Landmark Spring Academic Honor Roll selection. He is also involved with the Fall Service Day, MLK Day, and Brookland Field Days at Catholic. Bradley also participated in the Headstrong Cancer Awareness Game and partook in the Cardinals annual Polar Plunge, which raises funds for the D.C. Special Olympics.

The Landmark Conference selects 22 senior scholar athletes each year to recognize the top student-athlete in each sport based on academics and athletics.

The honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, faculty athletic representatives, senior woman administrators, and sports information directors.
