Scranton Headlines Men’s Basketball Preseason Poll
TOWSON, Md. – The University of Scranton men’s basketball team earned 70 points and seven of the eight first-place votes to headline the 2019-20 Landmark Men’s Basketball Preseason poll, as voted on by the league’s eight head coaches.
Susquehanna University received the last first-place vote and 53 points to finish second in the poll. Drew University earned 52 points for third and Moravian College rounded out the top-half of the poll in fourth, receiving 36 points.
Catholic University finished with 26 points to rank fifth in the poll, followed by Elizabethtown College and Juniata college in a tie for sixth with 18 points. Goucher College rounded out the top-eight with seven points.
The 2019-20 men’s basketball season will officially begin on Friday, November 8 with Goucher and Susquehanna competition in nonconference action.
