Women's Tennis Awards for 2020-21 Season Announced

TOWSON, Md. —Moravian College's Emma Angle was voted the Landmark Women's Tennis Player of the Year, while Drew University's Melina Christodoulou was named Rookie of the Year.

Angle, who is the fourth Greyhound to receive Landmark Conference Player of the Year accolades, earned Landmark All-Conference First Team honors in singles for the second time, making the First Team in 2019, and she was on the All-Conference Second Team in singles in 2018. Playing in the first singles slot in the line-up, Angle has a career mark of 33-12 including a 9-1 slate in 2021.

Christodoulou was named the conference Rookie of the Year after an outstanding 2021 campaign, which earned her First Team singles and Second Team All-Conference doubles accolades. The freshman posted a 4-0 record in singles play and was 2-2 at first doubles with teammate Sanne Bloemendaal. She is the second Ranger to be named Landmark Rookie of the Year since Ashley Camel picked up the award in 2017.

Moravian's coaching staff of Mariana Freitas, Chris Conrad and Lewis Cooper was awarded the 2021 Landmark Conference Coaching Staff of the Year award.
