Women's Indoor Track & Field Awards Announced
TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference announced Monday afternoon the 2021-22 Indoor Track & Field All-Conference Teams.
For the second time, Moravian University's Crystal Robinson was named the Track Performer of the Meet. Goucher College's Carter Hinton-Ayodele earned both Field Performer and Rookie of the Meet honors, while Susquehanna University's coaching staff, led by Ethan Senecal, was named Coaching Staff of the Meet.
Robinson captured Landmark Conference titles in the 200-meter dash in a time of 25.16 seconds and the 400-meter dash in 1:00.41 to earn Landmark All-Conference First Team honors. Both times met the qualifying standards for the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Indoor Championships. Robinson is the ninth Greyhound to earn the honor.
Competing in the long jump first, Hinton-Ayodele bettered their own school record with a 5.33 meter jump on the third jump of the morning. In the triple jump, Hinton-Ayodele unleashed a mark of 11.84 meters on the second jump after fouling their first attempt. That mark, in addition to bettering Hinton-Ayodele's own program record, broke the conference indoor championship record that was set in 2013. The mark also currently stands as the No. 8 jump in Division III this season. Hinton-Ayodele is the first Gopher to earn Field Perfomer of the Meet honors and is the second Rookie of the Meet.
The SU coaching staff earned their second honor. The River Hawks shared the award in 2014 with Moravian. Head Coach Ethan Senecal guided Susquehanna to their first Landmark title with 144 total points.
First Team All-Landmark honors are awarded to everyone who finishes first at the Landmark Championships while second-place finishers earn Second Team All-Landmark recognition.
