TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference baseball coaches voted and selected the 2022 All-Conference Teams and award winners.

Player of the Year – Peter Giombetti (Catholic University)
Pitcher of the Year – Tucker Alch (Catholic University)
Rookie of the Year – Dante Pozzi (Catholic University)
Coaching Staff of the Year – University of Scranton (Mike Bartoletti)

Giombetti is the first Catholic University baseball player to garner Player of the Year accolades. The senior finished the 2022 season with a .391 batting average, 51 RBI, 14 doubles, and a league-leading and school record of 13 homeruns. He helped the Cardinals to a 29-12 record and 14-4 in conference play.

Alch is the second Cardinal to earn Pitcher of the Year, joining Jon Mierzwa (2019). The junior helped Catholic clinch the No. 2 seed in the Landmark championship after going 9-1 during the regular season, and a perfect 6-0 against Landmark foes. In 76.0 innings pitched, he recorded league-leading 102 strikeouts.

Pozzi is just one of two freshmen to earn All-Conference honors. He is the first Rookie of the Year for the Cardinals since 2008 when Tommy Little was selected. The rookie played in 40 games for Catholic, finishing his debut season hitting .272 with 44 runs scored, 21 RBI, eight stolen bases, and five homeruns.

Bartoletti and his staff picked up their second straight Coaching Staff of the Year honor after guiding the Royals to a 14-4 conference record and the No. 1 seed in the Landmark Baseball Tournament.
