Women's Outdoor Track & Field Awards Revealed
TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference announced the 2021-22 Women's Outdoor Track & Field All-Conference Teams.
Track Performer of the Meet – Crystal Robinson (Moravian University)
Field Performer of the Meet – Maggie Boyer (Susquehanna University)
Rookie of the Meet – Clare Marsh (Catholic University)
Coaching Staff of the Meet – Moravian University (Jesse Baumann)
Robinson earned her second Track Performer of the Meet award after the junior was selected for the honor at the Landmark Indoor Track & Field Championships in February. Robinson won the gold in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.74 and was the runner-up in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.59. She took home her third individual medal of the weekend in the 400-meter dash, finishing third after crossing the finish line with a time of 59.45. Robinson earned two more medals from relay events. She ran the second leg of the winning 4x100 meter relay team that set a new championship record with a time of 47.92, and was the third leg in the 4x400 meter relay that earned bronze.
Boyer is the third River Hawk to garner Field Performer of the Meet honors and the first since 2017 when Gabby Alguire was named. The sophomore set a new conference and championship record in the shot put, throwing for 12.94 meters. She claimed the silver medal in the hammer throw with a mark of 39.93 meters.
Marsh completed her first outdoor season as a three-time all-conference selection. The rookie earned the gold medal in the 400-meter hurdles (1:04.64) and was the silver medalist in the 100-meter hurdles (15.65). She led off the 4x400 meter relay that finished second with a time of 4:04.12. Marsh is the Cardinals' first Rookie of the Meet selection since 2010 when Laura Kinley earned the honor.
The eight-time Coach of the Year, Baumann and his staff guided the Greyhounds to their 14th straight Landmark Women's title. Moravian edged Susquehanna University by one point, 162-161.
