TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference selects 22 senior scholar-athletes each year to recognize the top student-athlete in each sport based on academics and athletics.
The honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, and sports information directors.
Ben Nardi of Catholic University was named the Landmark Conference Baseball Senior Scholar-Athlete. He is the third Cardinal to earn baseball Senior Scholar-Athlete honors, joining Marc Hanna (2014) and Danny O'Hagan (2018). Additionally, he is the second student-athlete from Catholic to garner Senior Scholar accolades as Caroline Beckett was the women's lacrosse selection.
Nadri was a three-time All-Landmark selection, being named to the First Team twice and Second Team once. He leaves Catholic's baseball program as the all-time homeruns leader with 29, which also ties the conference career record.
A three-time Landmark Academic Honor Roll selection, Nardi has been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team once in his career. He graduated from Catholic with a degree in business administration and a. 3.76 grade point average.
He was the baseball representative for Catholic's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and served as a Marketing Research & Teaching Assistant for the Busch School of Business.
