Landmark Announces Football Media Day

TOWSON, Md. - The inaugural Landmark Conference Football Media Day is set to kick off on Wednesday, August 2. The one-day event will take place on the campus of Moravian University.
The Media Day serves as a preliminary media event ahead of the first college football season for the conference.

In February 2022, the conference Executive Board unanimously voted to add football as a league-sponsored sport beginning in the Fall of 2023. The addition increases the Landmark's NCAA sport offering to 23 and marks the first new sport offered by the conference since the league added Women's Golf in 2018.

"We are excited to kick off the inaugural season of Landmark Football with an in-person media day," stated Landmark Conference Commissioner Katie Boldvich. "I am thankful all seven of our head coaches have made their staff and select student-athletes available for this event so we can have this in-person interaction heading into year one. The anticipation for the season is palpable and I cannot wait to hear from all seven of our programs."

Players and coaches from the conference football-playing schools are scheduled to meet with the media and discuss the upcoming season.

The day will begin at 11:00 a.m. with individual team interviews, followed by a full group interview with all head coaches and Commissioner Boldvich.

"Landmark Football is here! We are very excited to embark on the first-ever season of Landmark football and I know the coaches and student-athletes are even more thrilled to be competing in a league that has proven itself as one of the most successful conferences in Division III across all sports," exclaimed Catholic University Director of Athletics, Kevin Robinson. "As we begin this new journey with football, we are excited to see the rivalries that will form and the competitive excellence that will occur week in and week out on the field.  With training camps only weeks away, the anticipation is building across the Landmark football programs as we get ready for this historical season. Going to be a lot of fun and cannot wait to see how the season unfolds."

Landmark Football Media Day is an invitation-only event. Members of the media interested in attending should coordinate their attendance with the sports information contact of the program they cover. General media requests can be sent to Assistant Commissioner, Sarah Twiggs (sarah.twiggs@landmarkconference.org).
