2024 Landmark Volleyball Awards Announced

TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference released its 2024 Volleyball All-Conference and award selections on Wednesday, November 20, as nominated and voted on by the league's 10 head coaches.

Player of the Year: Olivia Foley (Juniata College)
Specialist of the Year: Kiona Sky Rousset-Hernandez (Juniata College)
Rookie of the Year: Kassidy Means (University of Scranton)
Coaching Staff of the Year: Juniata College

The reigning AVCA National Player of the Year, Olivia Foley, adds her name to the legacy of volleyball excellence at Juniata College as the Landmark Conference Player of the Year. Foley’s selection marks the 15th time a Juniata player has received this honor in the league’s 18-year history and continues the Eagles' impressive streak, making it four consecutive years with this award. As the Eagles’ starting setter, Foley, now a four-time All-Landmark First Team selection, has been instrumental in their remarkable 91-match winning streak, orchestrating a league-leading team hitting percentage of .319—also the best in NCAA Division III. This season, Foley has tallied 870 assists, averaging a national-best 11.94 per set.

Kiona Sky Rousset-Hernandez has joined the elite company, becoming just the second player in Landmark history—alongside former Juniata standout Megan Sollenberger (2007-09)—to earn Specialist of the Year honors three times. As the backbone of the Eagles’ defense, Rousset-Hernandez has surpassed the 2,000 career dig milestone, holding opponents to a stifling 0.79 hitting percentage and an average of just 7.52 kills per set. Adding to her impact, she’s a force at the service line, ranking nationally with 56 aces this season, averaging an impressive 0.71 per set.

For the second consecutive year, a University of Scranton player has earned the league’s Rookie of the Year honor, joining current player, Cammi Quirk.  As an outside hitter, Means made an immediate impact, delivering consistently strong performances. Over 28 matches played, 25 of which she started, Means recorded 236 total kills and an average of 2.68 per set. She has also contributed 26 service aces in a standout debut season.

Under the leadership of Juniata College head coach Heather Pavlik, and her staff Casey Dale, Erin Smith, Kate Hutton, Jeremiah Burden, and Emma Pinkston, the Eagles put together a flawless 29-0 overall regular season record, including a perfect 9-0 in conference play. The undefeated regular season record is the fifth instance in program history, achieving the feat in 1977, 1996, 2003, and 2023. The recent conference championship title also marked the 43rd overall for the program.

Juniata will host one of the NCAA Division III Volleyball Regionals from November 21-23. The Eagles will begin their journey against Penn State Altoona in the first round of the eight-team pod on Thursday, November 21, at 7:00 p.m.
