Women's Volleyball 11/27/2024 3:00:00 PM Coley Named Landmark Conference Volleyball Senior Scholar-Athlete TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference selects 23 senior scholar-athletes each year to recognize the top student-athlete in each sport based on academics and athletics. The honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, athletic communications, and diversity, ethnicity, and inclusion designee. Juniata College’s Mackenzie Coley has been selected as the 2024 Landmark Conference Volleyball Senior Scholar-Athlete, becoming the fifth Eagle to earn the distinction and the first since Megan Moroney in 2017. A Marketing major with a 3.66 grade point average and a minor in Management, Coley has earned two College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District and All-America honors (2022, 2023). She is a member of Tau Pi Phi, the national business honor society, and has been recognized on the Dean’s List in four semesters. Athletically, she has been a cornerstone of Juniata’s volleyball success, helping the Eagles secure four straight Landmark Conference championships (2021-2024), back-to-back NCAA Division III National Championships (2022, 2023), an active NCAA Division III volleyball-best 94-match win streak, and is 133-3 all-time while playing in an Eagles uniform. Individually, she is a four-time All-Landmark Conference honoree, the 2023 Landmark Volleyball Player of the Year, a two-time All-American, and a three-time All-Region selection by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). In 2024, she was named the NCAA Division III Volleyball Huntingdon Regional Most Outstanding Player and earned All-Tournament Team honors. Beyond the court, Coley’s leadership and service are equally impressive. She has served as a team lead for the Special Olympics Fall Sectional, actively participates in Big Brothers Big Sisters, and is a contributing member of Juniata’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
