These honorees must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are chosen by a committee comprising Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, athletic communications personnel, and diversity, ethnicity, and inclusion designees.
Hayden Koh marks the second consecutive selection as the Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the Drew University men's swimming and diving program, following in the footsteps of Matheus Macena (2021), and his former teammate Harrison Neal, who secured the same accolade in 2023.
A psychology major with double minors in neuroscience and sociology, Koh concluded a remarkable career, amassing 17 Landmark Conference gold medals, securing 20 All-Conference selections (17 First Team, 3 Second Team), clinching both the conference Swimmer and Rookie of the Year honors in 2022, and triumphing in 35 out of 38 individual races in dual meets for the Rangers.
A pinnacle moment in his career was the recognition as an All-American by the NCAA following his remarkable performance at the 2023 NCAA Championships in the 200-butterfly event, where he clinched the 13th position overall.
Koh spearheaded Drew's runner-up finishes at the conference championship in 2022, 2023, and 2024, contributing significantly to the team's record-setting performance in terms of points scored at the Landmark Championship each year.
Beyond the pool, Koh engaged in an internship with the Social Welfare Department of Malaysia, focusing on Psychology and Counseling, alongside his responsibilities as a Student Government Senator at Drew.
In academic spheres, Koh boasts a remarkable 3.65 grade point average, anticipates graduating in three years, and has consistently featured on the Dean's List for the past five semesters.
