This week's feature highlights Kendra Kalp, a junior on the Wilkes University volleyball team. From preseason bonding to bucket-list dreams, Kendra shares what makes her experience on and off the court unforgettable. Early bird or night owl? Night owl Favorite team tradition? Preseason team bonding days and team meals. If you could have dinner with any athlete, who would it be? Jess Mruzik, former Penn State volleyball player. What motivates you when training gets tough? My team motivates me when training gets tough. We create a very competitive environment in our gym, which pushes us to be better athletes on the court. One thing you always pack in your gear bag? A piece of candy, usually a Carmello, for good luck. Funniest teammate? Ava Wahlers Best advice you've gotten from a coach? Don't dwell on the past, but keep your head high and move forward. If you weren't playing your current sport, what would you play? If I weren't playing volleyball, I would play softball. Favorite post-practice snack?
