(University of Scranton)
Specialist of the Year: Isabella Rushing

Coaching Staff of the Year: Juniata College
Deanna Whelpley has been named the 2025 Player of the Year. Whelpley led the Landmark Conference with 473 kills (111 in conference play) and averaged 4.04 kills per set. She is the first player from Scranton to receive Player of the Year accolades since the Royals joined the Landmark in 2007, and now is a two-time All-Landmark First Team selection.
Isabella Rushing has been named Specialist of the Year, making her the 12th honoree from Juniata and the program’s fourth consecutive recipient of the award. Rushing put together an outstanding season, averaging 4.33 digs per set, totalling 485 digs. In the championship match, she led the team with 20 digs, one of her nine performances this season with 20 or more digs.
Elizabeth Cleveland, the setter for the Eagles, has been named Rookie of the Year, becoming the eighth player in Juniata history to earn this major award. This is the second consecutive year a Juniata setter has received a major honor, following Olivia Foley’s recognition as last season’s Player of the Year. Cleveland set up the Eagles for success all season long, averaging 9.83 assists per set and totaling 1,072 assists. She is also one of three freshmen to receive an all-conference selection.
For the ninth time, the Juniata College coaching staff has been named Coaching Staff of the Year. Under the leadership of head coach Heather Pavlik and assistants Casey Dale and Erin Smith, the Eagles put together another remarkable season, finishing 27–5 overall and perfect in conference play. This marks Juniata’s 44th consecutive title, 18 of which have come in the Landmark Conference.
The Eagles will travel to Virginia Wesleyan on Thursday, November 20, to face Grove City College in the opening round of the 2025 NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament.
