Kansas City, Mo. – Two members of The University of Scranton women's soccer program earned national recognition on the 2025 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Scholar All-America Teams, as announced by the organization on Thursday, December 18. Jenna Borelli was named to the Second Team, while Makenzie Van Arsdale earned Third Team honors.
2025 United Soccer Scholar All-America Teams
Borelli collected Second Team Scholar All-America recognition after a standout season both academically and on the field. A Nursing major with a 3.46 grade point average, Borelli led the Royals offensively during the 2025 season, pacing the team with 20 points on eight goals and four assists while serving as one of Scranton's primary attacking threats.
Van Arsdale was selected to the Third Team Scholar All-America after an outstanding season in goal. A Nursing major carrying a 3.56 GPA, Van Arsdale ranked 14th nationally in goals-against average and tied for seventh in shutouts. She anchored a Royals defense that finished tied for third in the nation in shutout percentage.
