TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference announced its 2025 Men's Lacrosse All-Conference teams on Wednesday, April 30. Teams were nominated and selected by the league's 10 head coaches.
Offensive Player of the Year: Victor Rosado (Catholic University)
Defensive Player of the Year: Zachariah Palinkas (University of Scranton)
Rookie of the Year: Jake Rainero (Drew University)
Coaching Staff of the Year: Drew University
Rosado is in the midst of a standout senior season with 37 goals and 37 assists for 74 points — all team highs — while also collecting 49 ground balls, third-most on the squad. His 37 assists currently rank tied for eighth in Landmark single-season history, while his 74 points are tied for ninth.
The all-time leader at Catholic in both assists (103) and points (221), Rosado becomes just the second Cardinal to earn Offensive Player of the Year honors and the first since Kevin Crowley in 2021. He is also the fifth Catholic men's lacrosse player to receive a Landmark Player of the Year award since the conference split the honor into offensive and defensive categories in 2019.
Palinkas earns Defensive Player of the Year honors one year after former teammate Colin Pierce took home the award for Scranton. The veteran defenseman has helped anchor a Royals unit that allowed just 51 goals in nine conference games — the fewest in the league — and powered the team to a perfect 9-0 Landmark record and the top seed in the postseason. Through 17 games, Palinkas has totaled 34 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers.
Rainero becomes the fifth Ranger to be named Rookie of the Year and the first since 2017. One of just two first-year players to earn First Team All-Conference honors this spring, he was a dominant force at the faceoff X. He went 176-for-223 (.789) in Landmark play and leads the league in both faceoffs wins (305) and ground balls (209), including a conference-best 133 ground balls in league action. Nationally, Rainero ranks third in Division III in total faceoff winning percentage and leads the nation in total faceoff wins. On April 26 against Juniata, Rainero broke the Landmark single-season records for both faceoffs won (290) and ground balls (200), while also setting a new Drew program record, and tied the NCAA Division III record for ground balls in a single game with 31.
In his first Landmark recognition, Drew head coach Dan Leidl led the Rangers to a 10-7 overall record, marking the program's first back-to-back double-digit win seasons since 1998–2000. The team also posted a 6-3 record in conference play — its best finish since joining the Landmark — and hosted its first postseason home game in 13 years. This marks the fifth time Drew has earned Coaching Staff of the Year honors.
