Scranton Women's Tennis Defeats Moravian 4-2 to Capture Landmark Title

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- The University of Scranton women's tennis team won the Landmark Conference Championship match against Moravian University by a score of 4-2 on Sunday afternoon at the Central PA Tennis Center.

Doubles
  • Scranton won both the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches to secure the doubles point.
  • Senior Daniella Wisniewski and freshman Erin O'Mara posted a 6-4 victory at No. 2.
  • At No. 3, senior Julia Nocentino and sophomore Kyleigh McNulty notched a 6-2 win for the Royals.
Singles
  • In the No. 1 spot, senior Mayjah Jean-Pierre won her match in straight sets by a score of 6-4, 6-4.
  • Junior Paige Hunt earned a 7-6, 6-2 win in the No. 5 position. 
  • Falzone fought hard for a thrilling 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 2 to close out the victory for Scranton.
