Landmark Conference Welcomes Olivia Clough as Director of Championships and Special Events

TOWSON, Md. — The Landmark Conference has announced the hiring of Olivia Clough as its new Director of Championships and Special Events. Clough will officially begin her duties on August 1 and becomes the third full-time member of the conference office, marking the first time since the league's inception in 2007 that the Landmark has operated with a three-person staff.

A recent graduate of The University of Scranton, Clough brings a robust background in event management, championship operations, and hospitality, experience gained through both campus-based and national leadership roles. Most notably, she supported several Landmark Conference championships in a hands-on capacity this past academic year, including golf, cross country, swimming & diving, and outdoor track & field. Her work at these events gave her first-hand insight into the operational standards and student-centered mission that define Landmark postseason experiences.

“Olivia is a hard worker, but more importantly, she’s a great person. Her dedication to the Landmark really stood out this past year, she understands what makes this conference special and truly cares about the people in it,” stated Landmark Commissioner Katie Boldvich. “She’s had a front-row seat through her time at Scranton and her hands-on work at our championships, and those experiences have clearly shaped her approach. From the beginning, I had her in mind when we created this position, and through a competitive national search, she proved she was ready to lead. We’re lucky to have her, and I couldn’t be more proud to welcome her to the team.”

Clough also contributed significantly to the University of Scranton athletic department, serving on the game day staff for a variety of events and playing a key role in hosting NCAA postseason competition, particularly in support of Scranton’s nationally recognized women’s basketball program. She further strengthened her understanding of high-level event execution through a lead internship with the 2024 NCAA Women’s College Basketball Academy in Indianapolis, where she managed logistics and coordinated communications for more than 800 participants while leading a cohort of fellow interns.

"I am extremely thrilled to be stepping into this new role with the Landmark Conference,” said Clough. “I look forward to representing the conference office and collaborating with our member institutions to enhance the student-athlete experience across all championships and events."

During her time at Scranton, Clough also served as Team Operations Manager for the men’s basketball program and held leadership roles within the Business Club and Student Advisory Board. Her experiences on campus and at the conference and national levels position her to navigate the complexities of event planning while maintaining a focus on the student-athlete experience.

Clough earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Scranton’s Kania School of Management and is certified in Sports and Operations Management, USA Basketball, and Name, Image & Likeness (NIL) education. She attended the 2025 NCAA Convention, further expanding her understanding of the national Division III landscape and building relationships across the industry.

As Director of Championships and Special Events, Clough will oversee the planning, execution, and enhancement of all Landmark postseason tournaments and will work closely with member institutions to support conference-wide initiatives and elevate the championship experience.
