Landmark Announces 2026 Women's Cross Country All-Conference

TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference announced its 2026 Women’s Cross Country All-Conference teams, highlighting standout performances from Saturday’s championship meet. The top seven finishers earn First Team All-Conference honors, the next seven are named to the Second Team, and the following five receive Honorable Mention recognition.

Along with the all-conference selections, the league also unveiled its major award winners. The Performer of the Year is presented to the individual champion, the Rookie of the Year honors the top first-year collegiate runner, and the Coaching Staff of the Year is chosen by the conference’s head coaches following the race.

Performer of the Year: Kyrianna Nemitz (University of Scranton)
Rookie of the Year: Saffron Blume (Catholic University)
Coaching Staff of the Year: Catholic University

The University of Scranton's Kyrianna Nemitz captured the individual title at the 2026 Landmark Conference Cross Country Championships, crossing the finish line in a personal-best time of 21:39.1. The senior earned Landmark Performer of the Year honors, becoming the first Royal to receive the distinction since 2022 and the fourth in program history since joining the conference in 2007. Nemitz bookended her career with major conference honors after earning Rookie of the Year in 2023. A three-time All-Conference selection, she earned Second Team honors in 2023 and 2024 before making her first appearance on the First Team in 2026.

Catholic University's Saffron Blume placed second at the 2026 Landmark Conference Cross Country Championships with a time of 21:50.6, earning First Team All-Landmark honors and finishing as the fastest first-year in the field to claim Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year honors. Blume became just the second Cardinal in program history to receive the award, as Catholic has now had a Rookie of the Year in back-to-back seasons.

Catholic University's coaching staff was named Landmark Women's Cross Country Coaching Staff of the Year after leading the Cardinals to their fourth Landmark Championship in program history and third in four seasons. Catholic placed five runners in the top 20 to finish with 38 points, comfortably ahead of runner-up Scranton (70). The 38-point total marked the lowest championship score in program history, surpassing the previous record of 41 points set in 2023. The championship marked the first at the helm of the program for Head Coach J.T. Klopcic and the third for Director of Cross Country and Track and Field, Steve Rahn.
