ATLANTA, Ga. - A trio of Landmark Conference women's basketball student-athletes earned 2026 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-America honors, as announced by the organization on Thursday, March 19
Kaci Kranson of the University of Scranton led the Landmark Conference honorees with selection to the WBCA Coaches’ All-America team. At the same time, Makenna Mummert of Elizabethtown College and Kaeli Romanowski of the University of Scranton earned All-America Honorable Mention recognition.
Kranson adds All-America honors to an already impressive résumé, capping a standout senior season. The Scranton guard will graduate as one of the most decorated players in program history, highlighted by four All-Landmark First Team selections and back-to-back Landmark Conference Player of the Year honors.
A three-time WBCA All-American, Kranson becomes just the third player in Landmark Conference history to earn the distinction three times, joining Bridgette Monaghan (Scranton) and Summer McNulty (Elizabethtown). Her career also includes multiple D3hoops.com All-America honors and 2025 and 2026 Region V Player of the Year recognition.
Romanowski earned WBCA Honorable Mention All-America recognition for the first time in her career, adding to an already impressive list of postseason honors. The recognition comes on the heels of her selection to the D3hoops.com All-Region First Team earlier this week. The two-time Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Year, Romanowski, has been a key contributor all season, leading the team in steals (119) and third in the country with a 3.91 assist to turnover ratio.
Mummert earns her first career WBCA All-America honor. The guard guided the Blue Jays to a 20-win season and finished as the runner-up in the conference tournament. She joins a long list of Etown women’s basketball players to be named a WBCA All-American, joining the ranks of Veronica Christ and Summer McNulty.
Scranton head coach Ben O’Brien was also recognized as a WBCA Division III Coach of the Year finalist. O’Brien and his staff were voted the 2025-26 Landmark Coaching Staff of the Year.
Scranton will continue its postseason run Thursday, March 19, as the Lady Royals will face undefeated, two-time defending national champion NYU in the 2026 NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Semifinal game. Tipoff against the Violets is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
