Meierhofer Awarded Softball Senior Scholar-Athlete Distinction

TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference selects 23 senior scholar-athletes each year to recognize the top student-athletes in each sport based on academics and athletics. The honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, athletic communications, and diversity, ethnicity, and inclusion designee.

Drew University softball student-athlete Haley Meierhofer has been named a 2025-26 Landmark Conference Senior Scholar-Athlete. A psychology and Italian studies major with minors in education and marketing, Meierhofer had a 3.95 grade point average while having one of the most accomplished careers in Drew softball history.

As a second baseman for the Rangers, Meierhofer earned All-Landmark Conference honors three times, collecting Second Team recognition in 2023 and 2025 along with Honorable Mention honors in 2026. She also earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Third Team All-Region recognition in 2025. Over the course of her career, Meierhofer established herself among the top players in program history, finishing fourth in doubles (30) and stolen bases (41), fifth in hits (145), and sixth in runs scored (89). She appeared in 148 games with 144 starts and concluded her collegiate career with a .309 batting average.

In the classroom, Meierhofer earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors twice and was also a two-time selection to the Landmark Conference Academic All-District Team. She received both Drew's Arts Scholarship and McClintock Scholarship and was recognized as the University's Francis Asbury Scholar. Meierhofer became a member of numerous academic honor societies, including Kappa Delta Pi (Education), Psi Chi (Psychology), Gamma Kappa Alpha (Italian), and the Tau Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma for student-athletes. She was also inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, recognizing her among the top 10 percent of her graduating class, and earned Dean's List honors during her time at Drew.

Beyond athletics and academics, Meierhofer served extensively in leadership and community engagement roles throughout her collegiate career. She was a team captain during the 2026 season and served as president of Drew's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She also worked as the social media coordinator for Drew's Italian Club and participated in the university's Connect with Kids Club. Alongside her teammates, Meierhofer participated in Rise Against Hunger initiatives with Liquid Church from 2023-25, packaging meals before the holiday season. She also collaborated with Saint Hubert's Animal Shelter to organize opportunities for Drew student-athletes to spend time with shelter dogs.

In support of the softball program, Meierhofer organized fundraising initiatives to help reduce the cost of spring training trips, coordinated Drew's home run derby events in 2024 and 2025, and partnered with local businesses to raise money, helping make team trips to Hawaii, Arizona, and Florida more affordable.
