Landmark Announces 2026 Baseball All-Conference

TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference announced its 2026 Baseball All-Conference Teams and major award winners, as selected by the league’s nine head coaches.

Player of the Year: Conor Campbell (University of Scranton)
Pitcher of the Year: Alex Halbert (Lycoming College)
Rookie of the Year: Nick Donofrio (Drew University)
Coaching Staff of the Year: Susquehanna University

Campbell becomes the first Royal to earn Player of the Year honors since 2019 (Connor Harding) and just the third in program history (Chris Bligh, 2010). He was also named Landmark Conference Baseball Most Valuable Player after a strong tournament showing, finishing with six hits and four RBI, including a 2-for-4 performance with an RBI in the championship game against Elizabethtown.

Campbell set the program’s single-season hits record on May 9 against Susquehanna, breaking the mark during the championship run. He now has 196 career hits and also moves into the conference record book, ranking among the career leaders in games played (164, tied for first), games started (144, tied for eighth), at-bats (579, fifth), runs scored (160, fourth), and hits (196, tied for eighth).

He has now been part of two Landmark Conference championship teams. He is making his second NCAA Tournament appearance, as Scranton opens regional play against Bridgewater College (Va.) on Friday, May 11 at 11:00 a.m.

Halbert earns Pitcher of the Year honors, marking the first time a Lycoming player has won a major award since the program joined the league in 2023–24. In 41.1 innings pitched, Halbert posted a 2.18 earned run average to lead both the team and the conference. He recorded a 1.23 WHIP, went 5–0 on the season, and limited opposing hitters to a .261 batting average.

Donofrio is the first Rookie of the Year in Drew program history and one of two first-years represented on the All-Conference teams. The catcher started all 41 games and hit .286 with 42 hits, 34 runs scored, seven doubles, 10 home runs, and 46 RBI. He finished the season tied for the conference lead in home runs and ranked third in RBI. Behind the plate, he handled 144 chances, recording 128 putouts and 13 assists while committing just three errors for a .979 fielding percentage.

Susquehanna’s coaching staff earns Coaching Staff of the Year honors for the fourth time (previously 2019, 2016, and 2014). Led by head coach Denny Bowers and assistants Troy Allen, Zach McCoy, Joe Matarazzo, Ty Treaster, and Thomas Andersen, the River Hawks finished 26–16 overall and 16–8 in conference play to secure the No. 2 seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament. Susquehanna dropped just two conference series during the season.
