A Historical Timeline of Key Events in the Conference

February 9, 2005 Group of Presidents from Mid-Atlantic institutions met; agreed to create an organization to engage in athletic competition
November 10, 2005 Catholic, Drew, Goucher, Juniata, Moravian, Stevens Institute of Technology, Susquehanna, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) agree on principles and timetable for a new conference
February 6, 2006 Eight institutions committed in writing to new conference; Landmark Conference chosen as the name
September 1, 2006 Dr. John A. Reeves, recently retired Athletics Director at Columbia University in New York, named Commissioner.
September 2006 The conference office was established at Drew University in Madison, N.J.
November 2-3, 2006 The Presidents invited the University of Scranton, led by Reverend Scott R. Pilarz, to join the Landmark Conference. Scranton accepted the invitation.
August 10, 2007 The NCAA granted active membership status to the Landmark Conference.
September 15, 2007 The first official Landmark Conference contest took place with Scranton at USMMA in men's soccer.
February 5-6, 2008 The Landmark held its first Landmark Collaboration/Integration Institute. The Institute brought together student-athletes, Chief Executive Officers, Chief Academic Officers, Athletics Directors, Faculty Athletics Representatives and Senior Women's Administrators from all eight Landmark institutions to discuss issues involving collaboration and integration among Landmark institutions along with sportsmanship.
June 12, 2008 The Landmark Office announced Moravian as the winners of the inaugural Landmark Conference President's All Sports Cup. Moravian placed first with a total of 6.861 finishing slight ahead of Scranton which was second with 6.859 points.
November 9, 2009 The conference earned automatic bids to the NCAA Championships for the first time.
November 30, 2010 Washington & Jefferson joined the conference as an affiliate member in men's lacrosse.
September 1, 2011 Marywood joined the conference as an affiliate member in swimming and diving.
April 4, 2012 Dan Fisher named second commissioner of the Landmark.
July 2, 2012 Conference office moves to Goucher College.
April 2, 2013 Elizabethtown announced as the Landmark's ninth member, beginning July 1, 2014.
November 19, 2013 The conference was incorporated as a not-for-profit.
July 9, 2015 The conference announces it will sponsor men's and women's golf as a varsity sport.
August 1, 2016 Landmark celebrates 10th year anniversary.
June 17, 2016 Landmark holds membership-wide student-athlete wellness seminar.
April 11, 2017 Landmark announces Marywood joined the conference as an affiliate member in women's golf.
November 20, 2018 Landmark announces it will foster Esports competition in spring 2019.
May 15, 2019 Katie Boldvich named third commissioner of the Landmark. 
February 10, 2022 Landmark announces Membership Expansion; Lycoming & Wilkes Join in '23
February 10, 2022 The Landmark Presidents unanimously votes to add football as a conference-sponsored sport beginning with the Fall 2023 season.
April 1, 2022 Landmark welcomes Keystone as Football affiliate.
June 2, 2022 Landmark hosts league-wide membership symposium.
January 15, 2023 Landmark plays four games at the historic Palestra.
July 13, 2023 Landmark signs historic media rights deal with FloSports.
September 20, 2023 First-ever conference football games played.
November 18, 2023 Landmark football plays in first-annual Chesapeake Challenge.
January 14, 2024 Landmark plays at Palestra for second year.
May 21, 2024 Landmark hosted league-wide membership symposium.
August 23, 2024 Landmark welcomes Western Connecticut State as Football affiliate.
January 12, 2025 Landmark plays at Palestra for third year.
May 9-11, 2025 Landmark baseball plays at Penn Medicine Park; first-ever neutral site for baseball championship.
May 16, 2025 Landmark announces the addition of men's volleyball as league's 24th sport.
