2021 Men's Lacrosse Athletes of the Week 2021 Men's Lacrosse Athletes of the Week Men's Offensive Athlete of the Week - Kevin Crowley, Catholic May 03, 2021 Senior Kevin Crowley totaled six goals and two assists as Catholic posted a 16-10 win over Elizabethtown as the Cardinals completed a perfect regular season and earned their eighth appearance in the Landmark Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship and first as the No. 1 seed. He totaled his fifth hat-trick as a Cardinal and his fourth in six games this season. He scored at least six goals for the third time this season and finished just one point shy of his career high set at Scranton in the season opener when he had nine goals. Men's Defensive Athlete of the Week - Sean DeMott, Moravian May 03, 2021 Moravian sophomore Sean DeMott played all 60 minutes in the Greyhounds' 16-5 win at Drew to end the regular season and clinch the fifth seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament. DeMott made seven saves in the victory. Men's Offensive Athlete of the Week - Jack McGorry, Catholic April 26, 2021 Catholic junior Jack McGorry totaled a career-high eight points as the Cardinals posted a 17-8 road win over Moravian. He scored six goals on just seven shots for an 85.7 percent shooting percentage. McGorry tied a career high with in goals, registering his second hat-trick this season and the fifth of his career. He had a hand in three of Catholic's first five goals, scoring twice and assisting on another as the Cardinals built a 5-1 lead after the first quarter. Men's Defensive Athlete of the Week - Tom Mahoney, Elizabethtown April 26, 2021 Graduate student Tom Mahoney finished the week with 22 saves, Carrying the Blue Jays defense to wins over Susquehanna (13-1) and Drew (12-5). Against the River Hawks, Mahoney made 13 saves and allowed one goal, leading the Blue Jays to the second-fewest goals allowed in program history. The Hillsborough, N.J. native followed up that performance giving up only five goals and making nine saves against the Rangers. Mahoney is third in Division III in save percentage (.670) and 10th in goals-against average (6.65). He leads the Landmark in both categories as well. Men's Offensive Athlete of the Week - Alex Kilgour, Elizabethtown April 19, 2021 Elizabethtown junior Alex Kilgour finished the week with a team-high eight points, helping the Blue Jays to back-to-back wins over Moravian. The York, Pa. native registered six goals and two assists over the two games, tying him for the team lead in goals scored. Kilgour assisted the game-winner in Etown's 14-13 win over the Greyhounds on Wednesday and then recorded his second hat trick of the week against Moravian on Saturday with three goals and one assist. Men's Defensive Athlete of the Week - Tom Mahoney, Elizabethtown April 19, 2021 Graduate student Tom Mahoney became the all-time winningest goalie in program history this past week, helping the Blue Jays to back-to-back wins over Moravian. Mahoney registered his 33rd and 34th win this past week, moving him past Brendan Corcoran '12 for first place in program history. The Hillsborough, New Jersey native finished the week with 21 total saves, a 56.8 save percentage, and an 8.00 goals-against average. He is second in the conference in save percentage (62.5%) and goals-against average (7.95). Men's Offensive Athlete of the Week - Cole Lukasiewicz, Scranton April 12, 2021 Junior Cole Lukasiewicz continued his solid offensive season for Scranton this past week, leading the Royals to a pair of victories over Moravian and Elizabethtown. He had his second hat trick in three games at Moravian on Wednesday, while recording four assists in the victory, a career-high. He then added two goals and an assist in the win over Etown, the Royals' first since 2014 over the Blue Jays. Men's Defensive Athlete of the Week - Dan Clendenny, Susquehanna April 12, 2021 In two starts, Susquehanna junior Dan Clendenny helped the River Hawks to their first two wins of the season. Clendenny made a career-best 12 saves at Drew with two ground balls. He only allowed seven goals in the 17-7 win against the Rangers and just three in the second matchup between the two teams. Men's Offensive Athlete of the Week - Kevin Crowley, Catholic April 05, 2021 Catholic senior Kevin Crowley scored a program and Landmark Conference record nine goals as the Cardinals posted a convincing 24-10 victory at Scranton Saturday. He broke the team record for goals in a game set by Bennett Bradley in a 14-13 win over Elizabethtown on April 28, 2018. Crowley scored eight goals on just nine shots and registered his second career hat-trick in just six games as a Cardinal. His eight goals surpassed his season total from a year ago when he netted seven goals in five games. Men's Defensive Athlete of the Week - Jimmy Schicke, Moravian April 05, 2021 Moravian senior Jimmy Schicke helped the Greyhounds to a 13-11 victory over Susquehanna University in Moravian's first Landmark Conference game of 2021. Schicke had seven ground balls and five caused turnovers in the win.
