  • Athlete of the Week - Emily Martin, Elizabethtown
    February 23, 2015
    (So., C, Lancaster, Pa.) Martin had a career night in Elizabethtown's 65-51 win over Drew on Wednesday, setting a new Landmark record with 25 rebounds while also totaling career highs in points (23) and steals (6). She also tallied six blocks. The previous conference rebounding mark had stood since Drew's Victoria Ault grabbed 22 boards on 1/20/11. Martin followed that performance with another double-double in the Blue Jays' 74-60 win at Susquehanna on Saturday, finishing with 14 points and 12 rebounds as Elizabethtown wrapped up the No. 3 playoff seed. She now ranks third in the Landmark with 8.3 rebounds per game.
     
  • Athlete of the Week - Lindsay Fluehr, Scranton
    February 16, 2015
    (Sr., G, Bensalem, Pa.) Fluehr averaged 14.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.5 steals as the No. 14 Royals pushed their winning streak to seven and secured the top seed in the conference playoffs with a pair of victories. She had 15 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and a steal while playing all 40 minutes in a 69-56 victory at second-place Susquehanna on Wednesday that secured the top seed. Three days later, she had 14 points, six rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 34 minutes of a 74-47 win at Goucher. For the week, she was 6-for-10 from 3-point range after entering the Susquehanna game shooting 13.3 percent (6-for-45) from beyond the arc.
     
  • Athlete of the Week - Alesha Marcks, Moravian
    February 09, 2015
    (Jr., F, Northampton, Pa.) Moravian faced off against the top two teams in the Landmark standings last week, and Marcks came up big in both contests. She totaled 18 points, eight rebounds and five assists, including a 10 for 10 performance from the free throw line, as the Greyhounds came up just short in an upset bid at nationally-ranked Scranton. Marcks then contributed 23 points, seven rebounds and four steals to Moravian's 83-77 win at Susquehanna on Saturday. She was 21 of 23 from the FT line last week, and leads the conference at 86.8 percent from the charity stripe this season. This is the second time in 2014-15 that Marcks has earned AOTW recognition.
     
  • Athlete of the Week - Meredith Mesaris, Scranton
    February 02, 2015
    (Sr., F, Fairfax, Va.) Mesaris continued her season-long domination of the Landmark last week, averaging 24 points per game in victories over Drew and Elizabethtown. She totaled 23 points and seven rebounds against the Rangers on Wednesday, then followed that performance with a 25-point effort on 9 of 12 shooting against the Blue Jays, helping Scranton improve to 10-1 in conference play. Mesaris shot 66.7 percent from the field and 91.7 percent from the free throw line to earn her fifth AOTW award this season and sixth of her career. She is averaging 19.9 points per game, a figure which is tops in the Landmark.
     
  • Athlete of the Week - Meredith Mesaris, Scranton
    January 26, 2015
    (Sr., F, Fairfax, Va.) Mesaris scored 30 points for the third time this season and seventh in her career to help Scranton pick up an 82-57 road victory over Moravian on Wednesday. The senior forward did all of her damage in just 27 minutes of play to earn her fourth Athlete of the Week award this season and fifth in her Royal career. Mesaris hit 12 of 15 shots from the field, including a perfect 5 for 5 from 3-point range. She is currently averaging 19.4 points per game in 2014-15, a number which ranks her first in the Landmark Conference.
     
  • Athlete of the Week - Nikki Komara, Susquehanna
    January 19, 2015
    (So., G, Shamokin, Pa.) Komara cracked double figures in each of Susquehanna's Landmark victories last week. She came up just short of a triple-double in Wednesday's win over Juniata, totaling 17 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and eight steals. Komara followed that performance with 15 points, nine rebounds and six steals against Drew. She leads the team in rebounds (7.1 per game) assists (76) and steals (44), and the Crusaders have now matched last season's win total after improving to 12-3 on the year.
     
  • Athlete of the Week - Alesha Marcks, Moravian
    January 12, 2015
    (Jr., F, Northampton, Pa.) Marcks had one of the best weeks in a Moravian uniform as she averaged 21.7 points and 11.0 rebounds per game last week with her first two career double-doubles as the Greyhounds went 3-0 in Landmark Conference action. Marcks shot 51.1 percent (23-of-45) from the floor and 86.4 percent (19-of-22) at the foul line while adding 11 blocked shots, nine assists and four steals in 93 minutes of action. Marcks opened the week with her first career double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds to go along with a career high four blocked shots in a 64-52 win at USMMA. She then had 22 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and another four blocked shots in a 68-55 victory versus Drew. Marcks finished the week with a career-high 30 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the floor and a 14-for-16 performance at the charity stripe along with eight rebounds and three blocked shots in a 75-69 victory at Elizabethtown.
     
  • Athlete of the Week - Meredith Mesaris, Scranton
    January 05, 2015
    (Sr., F, Fairfax, Va.) Mesaris had a big week, leading Scranton in scoring in each of three victories. She started by scoring 15 points and pulling down four rebounds as the sixth-ranked Lady Royals defeated fourth-ranked Tufts, 52-42, on Sunday, Dec. 28, in Puerto Rico. A day later, she had 22 points and four rebounds in a 75-59 win over Babson in Puerto Rico. After the Lady Royals returned stateside, she had a game-high 20 points to go along with nine rebounds as Scranton handed Elizabethtown its first loss, 58-46, on the road on Saturday. Mesaris has now led Scranton in scoring in 10 of 11 games this season.
     
  • Athlete of the Week - Jonaida Williams, Susquehanna
    December 22, 2014
    (Sr., G, Williamsport, Pa.) Williams averaged 23.5 points this week as Susquehanna picked up wins over Marywood and Bryn Athyn. She notched 29 points with five rebounds in Monday’s 71-42 victory against Marywood. Williams followed up with 18 points and five boards on Wednesday at Bryn Athyn. She shot 59.3 percent from the floor and 53.8 percent from three-point range. Williams added three assists and five steals.
     
  • Athlete of the Week - Meredith Mesaris, Scranton
    December 15, 2014
    (Sr., F, Fairfax, Va.) Mesaris led Scranton to a runaway victory at home over Merchant Marine by scoring 21 points on 10-for-13 from the field. She made her only 3-point attempt and finished with five rebounds and an assist in just 22 minutes. She has led Scranton in scoring in every game this season.
     
  • Athlete of the Week - Jonaida Williams, Susquehanna
    December 08, 2014
    (Sr., G, Williamspot, Pa.) Williams paced Susquehanna this week with 18.0 points per game. The Crusaders knocked off Catholic for the first time in nearly five years thanks in part to Williams’ 21 points. She hit four 3-pointers and picked up five rebounds in the win. Susquehanna improved to 2-0 in the Landmark on Saturday with a 74-44 win over Merchant Marine. Williams scored 15 points on 4-for-5 shooting from the field to tie for the game-high. She was a perfect 3-for-3 from behind the arc.
     
  • Athlete of the Week - Alexis Wright, Moravian
    December 01, 2014
    (Sr., F, Shillington, Pa.) Wright became the 24th player in Moravian history to reach 1,000 career points when she banked in a game-tying jumper with 5:45 to play as the Greyhounds rallied from a nine-point deficit to defeat DeSales University, 70-66, in non-conference action. Wright had 17 points, eight rebounds, six assists, four blocked shots and two steals in the victory.
     
  • Athlete of the Week - Meredith Mesaris, Scranton
    November 24, 2014
    (Sr., F, Fairfax, Va.) Mesaris had a big week, averaging 21.7 points in a trio of victories. She shot 51.1 percent from the field, including 46.2 from beyond the 3-point arc, and made 13-of-16 free throw attempts. Mesaris opened the week with 17 points while making three of five from 3-point range in a 70-63 win at Haverford on Tuesday. On Friday, she had a team-high 18 points to go along with six rebounds and four assists in a 60-43 win over Wilkes in the opening round of the Scotty Wood Tournament at Muhlenberg. A day later, she scored 30 points -- 19 in the first half -- to earn tournament MVP honors after a 77-55 win over Muhlenberg in the title game.
     
  • Athlete of the Week - Taylor Alwine, Elizabethtown
    November 17, 2014
    (Sr., F, Elizabethtown, Pa.) Alwine was named Terry Greene Memorial Tournament MVP after leading the Blue Jays to a pair of wins to open the 2014-15 season. Alwine scored a career-high 30 points Saturday evening in a 62-56 victory over Marywood, going 11-of-15 from the floor (73.3%) and connecting on all eight of her free throws. The senior forward also had nine boards, two assists and three steals. In Sunday's championship win over Hood, Alwine scored 12 of her team-high 16 points before halftime as E-town opened up a double-digit lead. She finished 6-of-12 from the floor and was again perfect at the charity stripe, going 4-for-4. Alwine added her second nine-rebound game of the weekend, just missing out on a pair of double-doubles.
