She had four goals and three assists in an 18-5 win against Marywood and added four goals and one assist in 14-9 win over USMMA. She went 4-8 on FPS, had three ground balls, six draw controls and 21 shots (17 on goal). Women's Defensive Athlete of the Week - Juliana Strazulo (Drew) May 02, 2016 (So, D - San Anselmo, Calif.) Sophomore Juliana Strazulo extended her Landmark Conference records for caused turnovers and ground balls in a single season with seven of each in Drew's playoff clinching 14-7 win over Goucher on Saturday. The do-it-all midfielder helped the Rangers' defense hold the Gophers to 10 shots on goal in the monumental win-and-in contest that sent Drew to the upcoming Landmark semifinals on Wednesday. She also scored a goal, added two assists and controlled five draws. Her new Landmark records now stand at 67 caused turnovers (beating the old record by 20) and 82 ground balls (surpassing the previous mark by seven). Women's Offensive Athlete of the Week - Erin Allen (Scranton) April 25, 2016 (Jr, M - Syosett, N.Y.) Allen finished the week with eight goals, four ground balls, three caused turnovers and a draw control as the Royals went 2-0 to clinch a playoff spot. She opened the week with two goals, two ground balls and two caused turnovers in a 12-9 win over Drew on Wednesday. Both of her goals came in the first half as Scranton jumped out to a 7-4 lead after 30 minutes. Three days later, she celebrated Senior Day by matching her career high with six goals to go along with two ground balls, a draw control and a caused turnover in a 20-8 win over Elizabethtown. Women's Defensive Athlete of the Week - Christina De Cesaris (Catholic) April 25, 2016 (Fr., G - , 44) The freshman goalie, Christina De Cesaris recorded two Landmark wins for Catholic this week. De Cesaris recorded seven saves against Goucher and two against the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Women's Offensive Athlete of the Week - Morgan Mason (Drew) April 18, 2016 (Jr, M - Cranford, N.J.) Junior midfielder Morgan Mason scored her 100th career goal on her seventh and final tally in an 18-12 win at Elizabethtown. Mason's seven goals rank fifth for most goals in a single game in Drew history, and while adding two assists in the victory, her nine points rank ninth in the Drew record books. During the 2-0 week for Drew, Mason scored a total of 12 goals and added eight draw controls, two groundballs and a caused turnover. Mason scored a shooting percentage of .632 and now ranks second in the conference with 41 goals. Women's Defensive Athlete of the Week - Juliana Strazulo (Drew) April 18, 2016 (So, D - San Anselmo, Calif.) With seven caused turnovers in an 18-12 win at Elizabethtown, Strazulo ties the Drew record for caused turnovers in a season with 45, and is just two away from tying the Landmark record. She also picked up a career-high eight ground balls and added six draw controls against the Blue Jays as she sparked the Drew defense to hold E-Town to 18 shots on goal. The multifaceted Strazulo also scored four goals in each of Drew's wins last week and totaled 10 points, 11 grounders, eight draws and 10 caused turnovers throughout the two wins. Women's Offensive Athlete of the Week - Kelcie Ehler (Susquehanna) April 11, 2016 (Jr, A - Chatham, NJ) Ehler finished the week with 10 goals and four assists for 14 points. She had four goals and two assists in a 20-8 win over Moravian and added six goals and two assists in a win over Scranton. She had 10 goals on 14 shots and also went 2-5 on free-position shots and had two caused turnovers, as well. Women's Defensive Athlete of the Week - Juliana Strazulo (Drew) April 11, 2016 (So, M - San Anselmo, Calif.) Sophomore midfielder Juliana Strazulo's defense helped hold The United States Merchant Marine Academy to just 11 shots on goal in Drew's 18-6 Landmark victory on Saturday. She caused a career-high five turnovers in the win and added five ground balls and four draw controls. The versatile sophomore also scored a hat trick on the other end of the field and added an assist against USMMA. For Drew in a 1-1 week, she totaled eight grounders, seven caused turnovers and six draw controls, while scoring five goals. Women's Offensive Athlete of the Week - Dana Robidoux (Elizabethtown) April 04, 2016 (Jr, M - Kennett Square, Pa.) Elizabethtown won its first conference game Saturday at Merchant Marine thanks to the play of senior midfielder Dana Robidoux. Robidoux tied a single-game school record with 10 goals (five on free positions) and scored the game-winning goal with just 11 seconds left on the clock to give the Blue Jays a 17-16 come-from-behind win. The Jays were down 15-12 with a little over nine minutes to go and Robidoux tallied four of the five E-town goals in that time to complete the comeback. She also added two ground balls, two draw controls, and a caused turnover. Women's Defensive Athlete of the Week - Hannah Gizzi (USMMA) April 04, 2016 (Fr. GK, Finksburg, Md.) In a tough conference loss to Elizabethtown on Saturday, Gizzi recorded a USMMA program-record 20 saves in the Mariners' 17-16 loss. Women's Offensive Athlete of the Week - Meredith Willard (USMMA) March 21, 2016 (Fr, A - Portland, Maine) Willard set a new USMMA program record of six goals in a game in her very first collegiate contest as she helped the Mariners defeat Purchase College, 12-10, in the 2016 season-opener on Tuesday night. She followed that performance up with a hat-trick on Sunday in USMMA's 16-0 shutout win over Maine Maritime to end the week with nine goals. Willard also picked up five groundballs and three draw controls over the two games. She leads a group of freshman that have already helped the Merchant Marine program to its first multi-win season in program history. Women's Defensive Athlete of the Week - Hannah Gizzi (USMMA) March 21, 2016 (Fr., G - Finksburg, Md.) Gizzi has already matched the USMMA program-record for wins just two games into her career as she backstopped the Mariners to a pair of victories this past week. In the season-opening win on Tuesday over Purchase, Gizzi made 11 saves for the W, and followed that performance up with a shutout victory on Sunday after making one save against Maine Maritime. She has already led the Mariners to their first multi-win season in program history. Women's Offensive Athlete of the Week - Addie Stang (Elizabethtown) March 14, 2016 (Jr, M - Dover, Del.) Elizabethtown junior Addie Stang led the Blue Jays with an eight-point week. Stang had two goals and two assists in last Monday's game against Lynchburg. She followed that up with another four-point effort Saturday in the Jays' blowout win versus Washington & Jefferson. Stang's first goal of the game against W&J was her 100th career point as she went on to notch a hat trick. She also added an assist, three ground balls, two draw controls and three caused turnovers. Women's Defensive Athlete of the Week - Allison McLamb (Elizabethtown) March 14, 2016 (Jr, M - Ellicott City, Md.) Elizabethtown junior Allie McLamb has been a great two-way player for the Jays in the early going. While she scored a pair of goals in Saturday's win over Washington & Jefferson, McLamb's impact is often felt in the midfield area as she helps E-town transition from defense to offense. McLamb totaled nine ground balls, six draw controls and seven caused turnovers between the two games this past week. She leads the Landmark in caused turnovers with 19 in five games played. Women's Offensive Athlete of the Week - Juliana Strazulo (Drew) March 07, 2016 (So, D) Sophomore midfielder Juliana Strazulo led all scores with four goals in the Rangers 12-8 victory over Swarthmore on Friday. She took eight shots and also led the team with three caused turnovers, while adding three ground balls. Women's Defensive Athlete of the Week - Marne Rossetti (Scranton) March 07, 2016 (Jr, G - Wayne, N.J.) Rossetti made a season-high 10 saves in the Royals' 16-8 win over Farmingdale State on Saturday afternoon at Fitzpatrick Field. She made six saves in the second half as Scranton limited the Rams to just three goals while putting the game away. She also scooped up a pair of ground balls in the win. Three days earlier, she made three saves in one half of play in a 14-10 loss at Lebanon Valley. Women's Offensive Athlete of the Week - Meghan Kerr (Scranton) February 29, 2016 (Jr, M - Warwick, N.Y.) Kerr opened the season with six goals and an assist in the Royals' 14-3 victory at Misericordia on Thursday. She scored twice in a tight first half that saw the Royals lead, 5-3, at the break. Then, she had four goals and an assist, including three straight goals over a nine-minute span, as Scranton outscored Misericordia, 9-0, in the second half. She also had three ground balls, a draw control and caused two turnovers in the win. Kerr also added two goals and an assist in an 11-10 loss to Haverford on Saturday. Women's Defensive Athlete of the Week - Kailyn Angelo (Scranton) February 29, 2016 (So, M - West Chester, Pa.) Sophomore Kailyn Angelo had a big game in the Royals' loss to Haverford on Saturday, finishing with an impressive 10 draw controls to go with a ground ball and a turnover. She had four straight draw controls in the final 11 minutes as the Royals tried to pull out the victory in the back-and-forth game. She also had a draw control, three grounds balls and two caused turnovers in a season-opening 14-3 win at Misericordia on Thursday. Women's Offensive Athlete of the Week - Jessica Borucki (Goucher) February 22, 2016 (So., attacker - Westminster, Md.) The sophomore had four goals and two assists for a total of six points. She also added one draw control.
