2020 Women's Lacrosse Athletes of the Week Offensive Athlete of the Week - Megan Donnelly, Moravian March 16, 2020 (Fr., A - Frenchtown, N.J.) Moravian freshman Megan Donnelly scored a career-high eight points on four goals and four assists in the Greyhounds' 21-13 non-conference victory over visiting The College of Wooster in Moravian's only match last week. Donnelly also had six draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover in the win. Defensive Athlete of the Week - Nanci Hernandez, Catholic March 16, 2020 (Sr., G - San Diego, Calif.) Catholic senior Nanci Hernandez made a career-high 19 saves, including 11 in the second half, as the No. 10 Cardinals posted a 14-9 road win over Washington College. Catholic posted its first win over the Shorewomen since March 19, 2005. Hernandez led a second-half effort that saw the Cardinals outscore Washington, 9-4, to break open a 5-5 tie at halftime. Offensive Athlete of the Week - Lexie Sharp, Elizabethtown March 09, 2020 (Jr, M - Woodbine, N.J.) Elizabethtown junior Lexie Sharp totaled 15 points over two games this past week for the Blue Jays. She tied the program record for goals in a game with 10 on Saturday in a 23-10 win over Eastern, where she also added an assist. Her 11 points tied for the fifth-most by an E-town player in a single game in school history. Sharp added four goals last Wednesday at Arcadia. Defensive Athlete of the Week - Abbie McHerron, Goucher March 09, 2020 (Jr., GK - Burnt Hills, N.Y.) Goucher junior Abbie McHerron registered 16 saves, a 6.50 goals against average and a 55.2 save percentage in a 2-0 week for the Gophers. The junior made eight saves in a 15-8 win against Averett on Monday and then turned away eight shots in a 15-5 win against Neumann on Saturday for the program's first-ever win against the Knights. Offensive Athlete of the Week - Stephanie Dowling, Susquehanna March 02, 2020 (Sr., A - Berkeley Heights, N.J.) Susquehanna University senior Stephanie Dowling tallied a career-high six assists in a 16-9 road win over Immaculata as Dowling finished with a then career-high nine points by adding three goals. She notched career-bests of five goals, six assists, and 11 points in a 16-9 win over King's (Pa.). She finished the week with eight goals, 12 assists, and 20 points. Defensive Athlete of the Week - Allie DiDario, Drew March 02, 2020 (Sr., M - Whitehouse Station, N.J.) Drew University senior Allie DiDario posted 11 draw controls, 10 ground balls, and six caused turnovers in a 1-1 week for the Rangers. In a 19-4 win over DeSales, she notched eight draw controls, three ground balls, and three caused turnovers. She followed up with seven ground balls, three caused turnovers, and three draw controls in a 13-6 loss at Vassar. Offensive Athlete of the Week - Liz Bill, Moravian February 24, 2020 (Sr., A - Frenchtown, N.J.) Moravian senior Lizz Bill had a strong start to the season with eight points on seven goals and an assist in Moravian's 20-15 loss at Haverford College. Bill also had 11 draw controls and went 4-for-4 on free position shots, shooting 80% overall for the match. Defensive Athlete of the Week - Olivia Clearie, Moravian February 24, 2020 (Jr., D - Nazareth, Pa.) Moravian junior Olviia Clearie led the Greyhounds defensively in Moravian's season-opening 20-15 loss at Haverford College. She had eight ground balls, five caused turnovers and a ground ball.
