2015 Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week Offensive Athlete of the Week - Taylor Pisk (Catholic) November 02, 2015 (Fr, - Hockessin, Del.) In the final Landmark game of the season Catholic looked to go undefeated in conference play. A game winning goal from freshman Taylor Pisk helped them do just that. Pisk led the CUA offense with three shots in the conference contest, putting each shot on target. She notched the game winner in the 59th minute of the 2-1 victory over Juniata, securing an undefeated conference season for the Cardinals. Defensive Athlete of the Week - Krissy Welsh (Scranton) November 02, 2015 (Jr, GK - Swarthmore, Pa.) Welsh made three saves in Scranton's key 1-0 overtime victory at Elizabethtown on Saturday that gave the Royals the home field in Wednesday's semifinal against the Blue Jays. She made two stops in the first half and another in the second half while posting her 10th shutout of the season and 15th of her career. She is the sixth goalkeeper in Scranton women's soccer history to post double digit shutouts in a single season. Offensive Athlete of the Week - Kiera Lyons (Catholic) October 26, 2015 (So, M - Harwood, Md.) Kiera Lyons controlled the midfield for the Cardinals on Saturday. The sophomore took four shots during the conference victory over Susquehanna. With the game tied at one and less that ten minutes to play Lyons converted a corner kick, from teammate Maddy Thompson, into the game winning goal. Defensive Athlete of the Week - Jacqueline Zalis (Moravian) October 26, 2015 (Sr, GK - Summit, N.J.) Zalis posted a clean sheet, stopping all six shots she faced in a 0-0, double-overtime tie versus Scranton in Landmark Conference action this week. The shutout was the fifth of the season for Zalis and the ninth of her career. Three of her four wins this season are by shutout, and Zalis has a pair of double-overtime scoreless draws. She has allowed one or no goals in eight of 14 matches this fall. The tie also helped the Greyhounds remain in playoff contention as the Hounds can make the Landmark Tournament for the first time in three years on Saturday with just a tie versus Drew. Offensive Athlete of the Week - Lindsay Aleman (Catholic) October 19, 2015 (Jr, F - Hockessin, Del.) Lindsay Aleman tallied eight points this week for the Catholic bringing her conference leading goal count to 15 for the 2015 season. Aleman notched the Cardinal's first and final goals against Goucher in CUA's 5-1 conference victory, Wednesday. In Catholic's 3-2 overtime victory against Scranton, Aleman equalized the game at two before the end of regulation and notched the game winner the 107th minute. With the win over the Royals, the Cards clinched a spot in the Landmark Conference tournament and are now the only undefeated team in conference play. Defensive Athlete of the Week - Ava Brown (Catholic) October 19, 2015 (Sr, D - Fairfax Station, Va.) The Catholic right-back help the Cardinals to back-to-back come from behind conference wins. Brown put a stop the both the Goucher and Scranton offense while registering an assist against the Gophers. Offensive Athlete of the Week - Kelly Egan (Scranton) October 12, 2015 (Jr, F - Essex Fells, N.J.) Egan continued her strong offensive play with four points in a pair of victories during the week. She began the week by scoring the match-winning goal in the sixth minute and adding an assist later on as Scranton defeated Western Connecticut State, 3-0, on Wednesday night. Three days later, she assisted on the Royals first goal in a 2-1 win at Goucher that extended the team's winning streak to eight and kept the Royals in a first-place tie. Egan now has five goals, for of them game-winners, to go along with five assists for a team-high 15 points. Her five goals also lead the team and her five assists are tied for the team lead. Defensive Athlete of the Week - Jasmine Sconciafurno (Scranton) October 12, 2015 (Sr, D - Woodland Park, N.J.) Sconciafurno once again anchored the back line as the Royals allowed just one goal in 180 minutes en route to a pair of victories. She was a big reason Western Connecticut State put just one of its eight shots on goal in the Royals' 3-0 win on Wednesday. On Saturday, she helped Scranton keep Goucher off the board until the 82nd minute in a 2-1 victory. The Royals allowed just five shots in that victory, their eighth straight. They have allowed just two goals during the winning streak. Offensive Athlete of the Week - Emma Campbell (Drew) October 05, 2015 (Sr, F - Cresskill, N.J.) Senior forward Emma Campbell propelled Drew to a 2-1 victory at Susquehanna in Landmark Conference play on Saturday, scoring both goals, including the Golden Goal in double-overtime with just over a minute remaining in the contest. Trailing 1-0, Campbell equalized in the 67th minute to eventually force overtime. She only took two shots on Saturday, but made both count as the second went down as the game-winning goal in the contest's 109th minute. Campbell now ranks second in the Landmark Conference with six goals and 14 points. Defensive Athlete of the Week - Dana Robidoux (Elizabethtown) October 05, 2015 (Sr, GK - Kennett Square, Pa.) Elizabethtown senior keeper Dana Robidoux was four minutes away from a second-straight shutout until Goucher scored late in Saturday's 2-1 Landmark Conference win. Earlier in the week, Robidoux made three saves at York (Pa.) to get the shutout, her second of the season. Robidoux made two saves Saturday against the Gophers and allowed just the one goal in 180 minutes over the course of the week. Offensive Athlete of the Week - Jillian Sudo (Catholic) September 28, 2015 (Fr, F - Ledgewood, N.J.) Jill scored the game winning goals in both CUA wind this week. the first in the Cardinals mid-week 4-1 victory over Mary Washington and the second in their conference win over E-town. Defensive Athlete of the Week - Carolyn Warner (Scranton) September 28, 2015 (Jr, D - Morris Plains, N.J.) Warner had two strong games along the backline as the Royals posted a pair of shutouts, allowing just four shots in a 2-0 win over Muhlenberg on Tuesday, and only two in a 3-0 win over Susquehanna in the conference opener on Saturday. She also assisted on the first goal on Saturday, getting free inside for a shot that was saved, but deftly playing the ball over the goalie to teammate Christina Akalski, who put the Royals ahead early in the second half. Warner now has two goals and an assist from her center back position this season. Offensive Athlete of the Week - Kelly Egan (Scranton) September 21, 2015 (Jr, F - Essex Fells, N.J., 8) Egan scored in both of the Royals' games during the week, a pair of victories. She had a goal and two assists in the 7-1 win over Marywood on Wednesday, tying the match in the 22nd minute after the Royals fell behind just 36 seconds in. She also assisted on the go-ahead goal and an insurance goal in the second half. On Saturday, she scored the only goal of the match in the 18th minute on her only shot of the game in a 1-0 win at Farmingdale State. Defensive Athlete of the Week - Kerry Leonard (Juniata) September 21, 2015 (So, GK - Cockeysville, MD) Kerry Leonard has been solid in goal for Juniata this year. The sophomore goalkeeper has played a huge part in helping the Eagles develop on the field. This past week she recorded over 200 minutes of shutout soccer. Offensive Athlete of the Week - Stephanie Budrock (Goucher) September 14, 2015 (Jr, F - Clark, N.J.) Over the weekend, junior Stephanie Budrock scored three goals and added two assists to help Goucher to a 3-0 weekend. Budrock leads the Gophers in goals (4), assists (3) and points (11). She has picked up at least two points in every game so far this season. Defensive Athlete of the Week - Jasmine Sconciafurno (Scranton) September 14, 2015 (Sr, D - Woodland Park, N.J.) Sconciafurno anchored a Royals defense that allowed just one goal in two matches over the weekend while playing all 180 minutes. She helped the defense limit Lebanon Valley to just six shots and three corner kicks in a 1-0 loss on Saturday, then played a big role in stifling the Alfred defense, holding the Saxons to just two late shots in a 6-0 victory on Sunday. Offensive Athlete of the Week - Lindsay Aleman (Catholic) September 08, 2015 (Jr, F - Hockessin, Del.) The Catholic University of America junior Lindsay Aleman helped the Cardinals to a 3-0 weekend after scoring four goals, including a hat trick in the 7-0 win against Hood. Defensive Athlete of the Week - Krissy Welsh (Scranton) September 08, 2015 (Jr, GK - Swarthmore, Pa.) Welsh picked up her sixth career shutout by keeping Gettysburg off the board for 110 minutes in a 0-0 draw on the road Sunday night. Her nine saves in the match were one shy of her career high. She made two standout saves late in the first half and stopped a Bullets breakaway late in regulation to preserve the shutout. She also allowed only a penalty kick goal in a 3-1 season-opening win over Kean on Tuesday. On Saturday, she made five saves in a 2-1 loss to McDaniel.
