  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Lauren Steinert, Moravian
    April 30, 2018
    (So., Mt. Bethel, Pa.) Steinert helped the Greyhounds to a 2-0 record last week in Landmark Conference action as the squad clinched the second seed in the 2018 Landmark Conference Tournament. Steinert was 2-0 during the week at fifth singles and 2-0 at third doubles with freshman Mary Angle.
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Lauren Lucas, Juniata
    April 23, 2018
    (Junior, - Holidaysburg, Pa.) Juniata junior Lauren Lucas had an impressive week for the Eagles. Lucas went 3-0 in singles action, which included a win over Scranton's No. 1 player. Scranton is the only undefeated team in the Landmark.
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Julia Frattaroli, Scranton
    April 16, 2018
    (Sr., - Newtown, Conn.) Scranton senior Julia Frattaroli led Scranton to a pair of Landmark Conference victories over the weekend by winning all four of her matches with two wins apiece at both #1 singles and #1 doubles. In a 7-2 win over Moravian on Saturday, the senior teamed with Nastashia DeNunzio for an 8-6 win in doubles play before scoring a 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 win in singles action. On Sunday at Elizabethtown, Frattaroli and DeNunzio won at #1 doubles 8-6 before Frattaroli posted a 6-4, 6-4 victory at #1 singles.
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Emma Angle, Moravian
    April 09, 2018
    (Freshman, - Cherryville, Pa.) Freshman Emma Angle helped Moravian open the 2018 Landmark Conference season with a pair of victories as she had an undefeated week at first singles and first doubles. The Greyhounds began the Landmark slate with a 7-2 win over Juniata College at Winning Touch Tennis Lehigh Valley. She partnered with junior Kate Rennar for a win at first doubles before a straight sets victory at first singles. Angle then helped Moravian to a 9-0 win over Susquehanna as she and Rennar added another doubles win to open the match before Angle won in singles again.
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Morgan Hartman, Goucher
    April 02, 2018
    (Fr. , - Woodstock, Vermont) Goucher College freshman Morgan Hartman was a two-time winner on the afternoon Saturday at Susquehanna, helping the Gophers collect a 7-2 win in their Landmark Conference opener for the year. The win was the fourth straight overall for Goucher. Hartman's victory in singles clinched the win for Goucher in the match.
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Miranda Egan-Brooks, Goucher
    March 26, 2018
    (Jr., - Brooklyn, N.Y.) Goucher College junior Miranda Egan-Brooks led a dominating effort by Goucher on the day at St. Elizabeth on Friday, as the Gophers picked up their second straight victory overall, 9-0. On the season, she has won three matches on the year in singles for Goucher.
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Lenea Riehl, Elizabethtown
    March 19, 2018
    (So., - Gap, Pa.) E-town sophomore Lenea Riehl won a pair of matches Sunday to help the Blue Jays top FDU-Florham, 5-4. Riehl and junior teammate Meghan Chemidlin salvaged the Blue Jays' only point in doubles with an 8-6 victory over the Devils' Nicole DelRosso and Christine Kenny. Riehl started the Blue Jays' comeback in singles with a straight set 6-4, 6-2 win over previously unbeaten (7-0) DelRosso at No. 1. E-town went on to win four of the six singles flights to pull out the match on teammate Kaitlyn O'Connor's third-set comeback win at No. 6.
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Julia Frattaroli, Scranton
    March 12, 2018
    (Sr., - Newtown, Conn.) Senior Julia Frattaroli led Scranton to an 8-1 victory over Stevens in its first match of the spring on Sunday in Florida. The senior posted a 7-5, 7-5 win at #1 singles after teaming up with Nastashia DeDunzio for an 8-2 win at #1 doubles.
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Ashley Camel, Drew
    February 26, 2018
    (Soph., - Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) Drew sophomore Ashley Camel picked up two wins in the Rangers' 5-4 victory over FDU-Florham on Saturday. Camel teamed with Maria Navas Espinal to notch an 8-6 triumph over Nicole DelRosso and Christine Kenny at No. 1 doubles. She beat Kenny, 8-4, at No. 2 singles to help secure the overall win.
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Kristen Cassidy, Moravian
    October 09, 2017
    (Fr., Wantagh, N.Y.) Moravian freshman Kristen Cassidy helped the Greyhounds to a 7-2 win over DeSales. At No. 2 singles, Cassidy def. Amber Achenbach 6-1, 2-6, 1-0 (10-6). At No. 3 doubles she teamed with Lauren Steinert to defeat Kelsey Kazlauskas/Sabrina Ricciardi 8-2.
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Maria Navas Espinal, Drew
    October 02, 2017
    (So., - Valle, Colombia) Drew sophomore Maria Navas Espinal went a combined 7-0 at the NJAIAW Tournament, winning her flight in both singles and doubles. She teamed with Annalisa Manabat to claim victory in the "B" doubles and earned four doubles wins, capped by an 8-6 triumph over FDU Florham's Kira Bradley and Sierra Grande in the final. She defeated all three of her opponents in the "B" singles flight, including an 8-3 win over FDU Florham's Allyson Wolf in the final.
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Julia Frattaroli, Scranton
    September 25, 2017
    (Sr., - Newtown, Conn. ) Scranton senior Julia Frattaroli had a strong run through the consolation singles bracket at the ITA Northeast Regionals over the weekend at Skidmore, finishing second overall. After falling to Sravya Gudipudi of Rochester, 6-3, 6-2 on the first day of competition, Frattaroli advanced in consolation play with an 8-2 win over Dina Rigas of William Smith on Saturday. On Sunday, Frattaroli won three matches to advance to the championship of the consolation bracket. Her last win of the day came in the semifinals over Audrey Chen of the College of New Jersey, 8-3. In the title match, she battled to force a third set against Natalia Pezzuco of Union, but fell 2-6, 6-4, 10-3.
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Lauren Lucas, Juniata
    September 18, 2017
    (Jr., - Holidaysburg, Pa. ) Juniata junior Lauren Lucas defeated the MAC Commonwealth Player of the Mara Trifoi over the weekend. Playing at No. 1 singles, Lucas defeated Trifoi 7-6 (4) and 7-6 (5). She then went on to win at No. 1 doubles by the score of 8-1.
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Julia Frattaroli, Scranton
    September 07, 2017
    (Sr., - Newtown, Conn.) Frattaroli began her senior season on Saturday with a pair of victories over Pratt in a 9-0 win for the Royals. She won in both singles and doubles in the number one spot of the lineup, rolling to victories in both games.
