  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Ashley Camel, Drew
    March 02, 2020
    (Sr., Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) Drew University senior Ashley Camel went 3-1 at No. 1 singles and doubles while reaching a major milestone on the first day of Drew's Spring Break trip to Hilton Head. With her first win of the day - a 6-3, 6-4 win versus Bridgewater, she earned her 100th career singles and doubles victory, becoming the first player in program history to achieve the feat. Camel went on to capture a pair of wins in Drew's 9-0 victory over St. John Fisher. She posted a 6-1, 6-4 victory in singles and an 8-4 triumph in doubles with freshman Sanne Bloemendaal.
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Kady Lohr, Juniata
    February 24, 2020
    (So, Shanksville, Pa.) Juniata sophomore Kady Lohr posted a pair of wins at No. 3 singles over the weekend. Lohr won 6-1, 6-3 against St. Vincent and earned a 6-2, 6-1 win at Penn College. In doubles action, she posted two more wins (8-3, 8-2).
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Marissa Campo, Scranton
    October 07, 2019
    (Junior, - Green Lane, Pa. ) Scranton junior Marissa Campo helped the Royals close out the fall portion of their schedule with a 9-0 win at Messiah on Saturday. Playing at No. 2 singles, Campo blanked Kaylie Ryder 6-0, 6-0, before teaming with Nastashia DeNunzio at No. 1 doubles, winning 8-2.
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Mandile Mpofu, Goucher
    September 30, 2019
    (Senior, - Harare, Zimbabwe) Goucher senior Mandile Mpofu went 4-0 this weekend at the Goucher Invitational where she only gave up 11 games in four-straight set wins to take the Flight B Singles title. Mpofu defeated Frostburg State's Shea Przywieczerski (6-1, 6-0), Richard Stockton's Audrey van Schalkwyk (6-2, 6-2), Immaculata's Morgan Jacob (6-1, 6-2) and Marywood's Allison Bashore, (6-2, 6-1) in straight sets.
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Ashley Camel, Drew

    (Senior, - Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) Drew senior Ashley Camel put together a perfect 4-0 record at No. 1 singles and doubles as Drew split a pair of matches in its season opener. In singles play, she dropped only three games, winning 6-1, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-2. She also posted decisive victories in doubles, prevailing 8-1 and 8-3 with teammate Marwa Elessawy.
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Nastashia DeNunzio, Scranton
    September 16, 2019
    (Senior, - Dunmore, Pa. ) Scranton senior Nastashia DeNunzio remained unbeaten on the young season with victories at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles in the Royals' 6-3 win at Lebanon Valley on Sunday. She defeated Melania Haas 6-4, 6-1 in singles action, and won her doubles match 8-6.
     
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Emma Angle, Moravian
    September 09, 2019
    (Junior, - Cherryville, Pa.) Moravian junior Emma Angle helped Moravian begin the 2019-20 season with an 8-1 victory over Immaculata University. Angle and doubles partner senior Eiman Nazif posted an 8-0 victory at first doubles. Angle then posted a 6-0, 6-3 win at first singles.
