  • Spring Athletes Earn A Host Of ECAC Honors

    A total of 14 Landmark Conference spring sport student-athletes earned spots on ECAC All-Star Teams. The Landmark placed five recipients on both the baseball and softball teams to go along with three women's lacrosse honorees and one men's lacrosse selection.
  • Landmark Announces Spring Senior Scholar Athletes

    The Landmark Conference has selected eight student-athletes as Landmark Senior Scholar Athletes for their respective spring sports. A committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors and sports information directors selected the recipients, choosing one senior from each of the spring sports sponsored by the conference. The honorees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and are selected based on their accomplishments in all areas of college life including athletics, academics and other extracurricular activities.
  • Catholic's Robinson Earns All-America Status

    Sophomore midfielder Kate Robinson (Emmitsburg, Md./Catoctin) capped off her season with one of the highest honors in intercollegiate women's lacrosse. The Emmitsburg, Md., native was selected to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association's All-American third team in just her second year playing college lacrosse.
  • Landmark Women's Lax Players Earn Accolades

    Following a season in which one team reached the NCAA Regional finals and another claimed an ECAC Tournament bid, a total of eight Landmark women's lacrosse student-athletes were selected to the 2008 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association All-Region Teams.
  • Landmark Announces Spring All-Academic Team

    The Landmark Conference has announced that 32 student-athletes have been honored with selection to the 2008 Spring Landmark All-Academic Team. Two male and two female athletes from each of the eight Landmark institutions were selected for the team which honors athletes who have excelled athletically and academically.

    A total of 363 student-athletes have been recognized for their success in athletic competition and in the classroom as they have been named to the 2008 Spring Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll. The honorees were selected from all eight Landmark Conference institutions.
  • Catholic's Run Ends In Regional Final

    The #15 Catholic University women's lacrosse team (17-5) gave a valiant effort against the #1 Salisbury University Sea Gulls (22-0) Sunday afternoon but after an exciting first half comeback, CUA just couldn't hold on falling 18-7. The loss eliminated the Cards from the NCAA Tournament and gives them a 2-1 record in the postseason.
  • Cardinals Advance to NCAA Regional Final

    The #15 Catholic University women's lacrosse team (16-4) made it exciting Saturday in a 17-15 victory over the #20 Rowan University Profs in the NCAA regional semifinal. After trailing early, the Cards used a pair of runs to get back in the game. With the Profs threatening to tie it up and take the lead throughout the second half, the CUA defense led by Christina Rogers (Monmouth Beach, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) and Melissa Brashear (Pittsburgh, Pa./Oakland Catholic) managed to hold them off for the win.
  • Catholic Makes History With NCAA Tourney Win

    The Catholic University women's lacrosse team (16-4) continued to make program history Wednesday with an 18-7 victory over the Captains of Christopher Newport (13-6) in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. This is CUA's first appearance in the postseason event along with the first win. The Cards were led by senior Marcy Cuneo who had five goals in the game.
  • Rangers Roll To Lopsided ECAC Victory

    The Drew women's lacrosse team dominated its ECAC Quarterfinal with Gwynedd-Mercy, 18-3. The Rangers will move on to face ECAC top seed Dickinson at Stevens Tech on Saturday. Drew had nine different goal scorers and got great play from three different goalkeepers in the win. Morgan Kenney led Drew with four goals and an assist and Lindsey Perno had three and two.
  • Drew Lacrosse Teams Earn ECAC Bids

    The Drew University men’s and women’s lacrosse teams have each earned bids to the ECAC Metro/South Region Championships. The six-team women’s championship will begin Wednesday May 6, while the four-team men’s championship will start Friday May 9.

    Following the conclusion of four Landmark spring sport championships the Landmark Conference has named eight student-athletes as Landmark Players of the Week. The Landmark Player of the Week selections are made by the conference office.
  • Catholic Women's Lacrosse Earns NCAA Bid

    Selections have been announced in all but one spring team sport and the Landmark Conference has earned one spot in NCAA Division III Tournament play. The Catholic University of America women’s lacrosse team has earned a berth in the NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Tournament.
  • Cardinals Fly Away With Women's Lacrosse Title

    The Catholic University of America women's lacrosse team (15-4) made school history Saturday winning CUA's first Landmark Conference team championship. The top-seeded Cardinals defeated second-seeded Goucher College 21-10 (6-10) to take the conference championship. With the win CUA also extended its win streak to an even 10 games, the Cards haven't lost since late March.
  • Landmark To Crown Spring Sports Champions

    The first season of Landmark Conference competition will conclude with four spring sports competing for Landmark Championships May 3-4. The men’s lacrosse, women’s lacrosse and softball championships will all be decided Saturday May 3, while the Landmark baseball postseason will conclude on Sunday May 4.

    The Catholic University women's lacrosse squad handily defeated the Susquehanna University Crusaders Wednesday evening in the Landmark Conference Tournament semifinal. The #1 seeded Cardinals toppled the fourth-seeded Crusaders thanks to five goals from Kate Robinson (Emmitsburg, Md./Catoctin) and four from Marcy Cuneo (Haddonfield, N.J./Camden Catholic).

    Following the first season of competition in the conference twenty-six student-athletes have been selected to the 2008 All-Landmark Conference Women’s Lacrosse Team as voted by the conference’s six head coaches. The All-Landmark Team includes a first and second team with 13 honorees on each team, with the selections being made by position.

  • Crusaders Claim Final Postseason Spot On Senior Day

    The Susquehanna University women's lacrosse team found the best way to honor its seven senior players Saturday - a 13-10 win over Moravian College that clinched the No. 4 seed in the Landmark Conference playoffs. The Crusaders (6-9, 2-3 Landmark) will travel to No. 1 seed Catholic on Wednesday.
  • Susquehanna Rides Second-Half Surge To Victory

    It was a tale of two halves, as the Susquehanna University women's lacrosse team and King's College finished the first half knotted at eight goals apiece, but the Crusaders went on to score 15 goals in the second en route to a 23-10 win.
  • Drew Upsets Nationally-Ranked Ducks

    The Drew women's lacrosse team trailed 13-11 with seven minutes left, but scored the last five goals of the game to upset #19 Stevens Tech in women’s lacrosse, 16-13. Lindsey Perno had her best scoring game of the season with six goals and Stacie Brown added five more as the Rangers improved to 9-5. Alyssa Pigott had six for the Ducks (11-4).

    With the spring athletics season winding down another fourteen Landmark Conference student-athletes have been selected as Landmark Players of the Week after a week of spring sport competition. The Landmark Conference Player of the Week selections are made by the Landmark office.
  • Moravian Women's Lacrosse Rolls Past Alvernia
    April 21, 2008
    The Greyhounds women's lacrosse team won their final home match of the season and assured the program its first-ever winning season with a 25-10 non-conference victory over Alvernia College on the HUB Quad. Moravian is now 9-6 on the year with one contest remaining. In the first five years of the program, the Greyhounds had never won more than three matches, and the 25 goals against Alvernia mark a single match record. Moravian also had a record 12 different players score a goal in the match.
  • Drew Celebrates Senior Day With Playoff Berth

    Drew women’s lacrosse pulled out a high scoring affair with the Susquehanna Crusaders, 19-10, on Saturday afternoon. The win clinches a spot in the Landmark Conference playoffs as the Rangers celebrated Senior Day with a win.

    Sophomore attacker Kristen Marquino (Baldwin, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) scored three of her game-high five goals in the opening 12 minutes of play as The University of Scranton women's lacrosse team jumped out to a early lead en route to an 18-7 victory over Misericordia University in non-conference action Thursday evening at Fitzpatrick Field.
  • Robinson Keeps Rolling For Nationally-Ranked Cards

    The Catholic University women's lacrosse team (11-4) continued on its six-game win streak Wednesday with an 18-9 non-conference victory over the Marymount University Saints (7-7). From mid-season on, sophomore Kate Robinson (Emmitsburg, Md./Catoctin ) has been tying up upping her goal total every game. On Wednesday she scored eight in a season best performance.

    The Goucher women's lacrosse was presented with an opportunity for a "sudden victory" over Landmark Conference opponent Susquehanna today when Marlo Tersigni was awarded a free-position shot :46 into the third overtime.
  • Youngsters Carry Drew Lacrosse Past Moravian
    April 09, 2008
    Drew women’s lacrosse got back on track with an 18-10 victory over Moravian. The young Rangers did most of the damage as first-year players scored 14 goals in leading Drew to its first ever Landmark Conference win.
