    Toby Lovecchio, director of athletics at The University of Scranton, has announced the appointment of Colleen E. Murphy as head women's soccer coach, effective immediately.
  • Six Landmark Players Named To Soccer All-Region Team

    Six Landmark Conference women's soccer players have been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association Division III All-Region Team. The conference had two players on the Mid-Atlantic second-team with four more players earning third-team recognition.
  • Landmark Selects Fall Senior Scholar Athletes

    The Landmark Conference has chosen six athletes as Landmark Senior Scholar Athletes for their respective fall sports. A committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors and sports information directors selected the recipients, choosing one senior from each of the fall sports sponsored by the conference. The honorees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and are selected based on their accomplishments in all areas of college life including athletics, academics and other extracurricular activities.
  • Cardinals Fly Into ECAC Final

    The Catholic University women's soccer team (12-3-4) upset the top-seeded Grove City College Wolverines (16-4-1) in the East Coast Athletic Conference tournament. The fifth-seeded Cardinals beat Widener on Wednesday and then took Grove City in a 1-0 decision on Saturday to advance to Sunday's championship contest.

    The Catholic University women's soccer team (11-3-4) defeated Widener (14-6-1), 3-2, Wednesday afternoon in the first round of the East Coast Athletic Conference tournament. The fifth-seeded Cardinals downed the fourth-seeded Pioneers using three different goalkeepers and as many scorers.

    Four Landmark Conference Team Championships will be decided on Saturday as the newly-formed conference completes its first season of competition. Championship matches will be held in field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball at the site of the highest seed remaining in the four-team postseasons.

    One great goal was all that was needed as Drew women’s soccer defeated Susquehanna 1-0 in a key Landmark Conference victory at Ranger Stadium. Alyssa Goodman headed in a free kick from Laura Zeiden in the first half and the Ranger defense made it stand up as Drew improved to 5-7-3, 2-2-1 in the Landmark. The win keeps the Rangers’ playoff hopes alive as they are in fourth place with seven points, pending other results.
