Zoë Steck joined the NJIT Athletics staff in July 2023 as the Leadership Programming Coordinator and Academic Advisor for Student-Athletes, working in the Norma J. Clayton ’81 Learning Center.
Prior to NJIT, Steck served as a postgraduate intern for the Landmark Conference, supporting social media content, website management, and serving as a liaison between the conference office and member institutions.

She has also completed internships with the New Jersey Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women, US Club Soccer, and the New York Red Bulls.
Internship Reflection
"Serving as an intern for the Landmark Conference was a pivotal experience which has helped shape the foundation of my career in collegiate athletics, and is one I still find myself remembering fondly and speaking highly of to this day. My stint with the Landmark served as the perfect bridge between grad school and my first full time role. It gave me the opportunity to take on responsibility, expand my knowledge of college athletics and make lifelong connections as well. The Landmark provided an atmosphere which encouraged creativity and allowed me to contribute meaningful ideas and see projects through from the drawing board to execution. Everyone involved with the Landmark Conference, from Katie and Sarah to those at each member institution, helped me to grow and learn in a welcoming and fun environment.
When I finished my time with the Landmark, I felt much better prepared for my future. The hands-on experience and mentorship that I received gave me confidence and prepared me for a full-time role in the industry. Years later, I still draw on the lessons, relationships and experience gained during my time with the Landmark and I cannot say enough good things about it!!"
