TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference announced its 2023 Women's Soccer All-Conference Teams and awards selections Wednesday afternoon. The All-Conference teams were nominated and voted on by the league's 10 head coaches.
Offensive Player of the Year: Nimah Healy (University of Scranton)
Defensive Player of the Year: Hailey Scaff (Moravian University)
Rookies of the Year: Sarah Crowley (Drew University) & Mikayla Long (Lycoming College)
Coaching Staff of the Year: University of Scranton
Healy caps her senior season by being named the Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight season and earns her third All-Landmark First Team selection. The Orangeburg, N.Y. native ranks in multiple statistical categories in the conference this fall, including sitting at the top in goals (19), points (40), and game-winning goals (7). She is part of the Scranton offense that leads the league with 43 goals scored. Healy and company will travel to Newport News, Va. to take on McDaniel College in the opening round of the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament.
Scaff becomes the first Defensive Player of the Year for the Greyhounds since 2017. The junior anchored a Moravian backline that allowed the fewest goals this fall (15), recorded seven shutouts, and allowed just 0.88 goals per match. She joins Eileen Black (2012) and Lauren Bertucci (2017) to be selected as Defensive Player of the Year from Moravian.
Crowley made an impact in the Landmark and for the Ranger squad this season. The first-year started in all 20 games in goal for Drew and led the conference in saves (81), and ranked in the top 10 in goals against average (1.37) and shutouts (6). She is the third Ranger to be honored and the first since 2012 when Emma Campbell won the award.
In her first year in the Landmark Conference, Lycoming's Mikayla Long guided the Warriors to a 6-5-6 overall record and a 1-4-4 record in conference play. Playing in 17 games with 15 starts, Long was the top goal scorer for Lycoming with nine goals.
Scranton head coach Colleen Pivirotto and assistants Blake Mullen and Alexis Long are honored with their third straight Coaching Staff of the Year. The Royals produced another impressive season, posting a 13-3-3 overall record and an 8-1-0 conference mark. Scranton, who earned the top seed in the Landmark Tournament, defeated Catholic University, 3-0 in the championship match to win a league-best 10 conference titles.
