2024 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Announced

TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference announced its 2024 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference teams on Friday afternoon. Teams are nominated and selected by the league's 10 head coaches.

Offensive Player of the Year: Jackie Salvatore (Moravian University)
Defensive Player of the Year: Rachel Rubenstein (Catholic University)
Rookie of the Year: Eileen Hewitt (University of Scranton)
Coaching Staff of the Year: Susquehanna University

Salvatore has proven that she is one of the conference's high-powered athletes, emerging as the standout star in women's lacrosse. Winning Rookie of the Year two years ago, and a second-team all-conference selection last year, Salvatore dominated the field at attack, leading the conference in points per game (6.06), and second in assists per game (3.31).

It was her unforgettable performance against Goucher on April 3 that truly solidified her legacy. Scoring an astonishing 14 points (7 goals, 7 assists), Salvatore showcased her exceptions skills and made her mark on the 2024 season.

Defensively, Catholic's Rachel Rubenstein made sure her presence was known on the field every game, claiming the Landmark Conference Defensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row. Starting in all 16 games of the season and maintaining an impressive streak of 54 consecutive starts over the past three years, she embodied reliability and resilience.

Rubenstein's defense prowess was unmatched, leading the conference in ground balls per game (4.13), draw controls (91), draw controls per game (5.06), and caused turnovers per game (3.00). Her season highlight came against Colorado College on April 21, where she recovered nine ground balls, proving her tenacity and defensive mastery.

Eileen Hewitt displayed her potential in her first year in the Landmark Conference, awarding her Rookie of the Year honors. Hewitt started in all 17 games for the Royals this year, responsible for 27 goals, 31 ground balls, seven assists, and causing 27 turnovers at the midfield position, supporting Scranton in finishing at the top of the conference in the regular season.

Head Coach Randall Swope and the Susquehanna women's lacrosse coaching staff emerged as this year's coaching staff of the year, the first time since taking the position in 2018. Under their excellent leadership and guidance, the River Hawks finished 13-6, and 6-3 in the Landmark Conference, earning a third-place finish in the conference.
