This week’s feature highlights Abby DiComes, a member of the Susquehanna University women’s lacrosse team. From playoff victories to the competitive drive that fuels her game, DiComes shares what inspires her on and off the field as a River Hawk.

What’s your favorite memory competing for Susquehanna University?
Beating Drew in Playoffs

What drew you to your sport originally?
The fast-paced tempo of the game and the challenge of improving

How do you prepare the night before a big game?
Going to sleep early and drinking a lot of water

Who inspires you most on your team, and why?
Aerin O’Brien- her leadership skills and her drive to win

What’s your go-to hype song?
Bad Bad Bad by Young Thug

Postgame meal of choice?
Tons of water(again) and some protein (chicken tenders, steak, etc.)

Hidden talent most people don’t know you have?
I can remember the words to almost any song I’ve ever heard.

Favorite athlete growing up?
Tom Brady

First jersey number — and why?
33- My dad and Larry Bird from the Celtics

Favorite class or professor?
Marketing or Financial Accounting

First college game — what do you remember?
How crazy it was that I was already in college, and how excited I was to be on the field.
