Catholic, Scranton to Meet for Ninth Straight Women's Lacrosse Championship

Game Time Has Shifted Up for a Noon Start

TOWSON, Md. - For the eighth consecutive season, the Landmark Conference Women’s Lacrosse Championship will be decided between two familiar foes—top-seeded University of Scranton and second-seeded Catholic University. The rivals meet on Saturday, May 3 at Weiss Field with the conference title and an NCAA tournament bid on the line.

Catholic has played in all 17 finals and enters Saturday seeking a league-leading 14th championship. Scranton is making its ninth straight appearance and aiming for a third consecutive title.

The Royals earned the top seed with a flawless 9-0 conference record and rolled past Susquehanna University 16-6 in Thursday’s semifinal. Catholic, the No. 2 seed, advanced with a 17-3 win over Juniata.

Scranton has won the last two championship meetings (2023, 2024), but Catholic owns a 6-2 edge in Landmark title matchups between the two, having won six straight from 2016–2022.
