Women's Golf 5/20/2025 3:00:00 PM Catholic’s Lauren Lombardo Named Landmark Women’s Golf Senior Scholar-Athlete TOWSON, Md. – Catholic University’s Lauren Lombardo has been selected as the 2024-25 Landmark Conference Women’s Golf Senior Scholar-Athlete. The Landmark Conference selects 23 senior scholar-athletes each year to recognize the top student-athletes in each sport based on academics and athletics. The honorees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 and are selected by a committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, athletic communications, and diversity, ethnicity, and inclusion designees. An architecture major with a 3.72 grade point average, Lombardo earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors in 2023-24 and has been a consistent contributor both in the classroom and on the course throughout her four-year career. Lombardo has helped guide the Cardinals to three straight Landmark Conference championships (2023, 2024, 2025). She captured the 2024 individual title and was named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Year the same season. A four-time All-Conference honoree (2022–25), Lombardo has been a steady presence at the top of Catholic’s lineup and was a two-time Landmark Athlete of the Week during her career. Her leadership extends beyond golf as well. Lombardo has taken part in Catholic’s MLK and Mother Teresa Days of Service, embodying the university’s mission of service and engagement with the broader community. Lombardo is the second Cardinal to be named the Landmark Women’s Golf Senior Scholar-Athlete, joining former teammate Mary Colella, who earned the distinction in 2022. She is also Catholic’s sixth student-athlete to be selected as a Senior Scholar-Athlete during the 2024-25 academic year. Senior Scholar-Athlete History
