Catholic Leads After Opening Round of Landmark Women's Golf Championship

DELAWARE, Pa. - Battling through cold and wet conditions at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort on Saturday, April 25, 2026, Catholic University moved to the top of the leaderboard after the opening round of the Landmark Conference Women’s Golf Championship with a team score of 335 (+47). The Cardinals will carry a seven-shot lead into Day 2 over Susquehanna University (342, +54), while Drew University (346, +58) remains within striking distance.

Individually, Josephine Nguyen set the early pace after firing a 78 (+6) to claim the top spot through 18 holes.

Tied for second at 80 (+8) are Roxy Riles of Drew and Heidi Wegscheider of Moravian University, while Cailyn Schall of Susquehanna University sits fourth after posting an 81 (+9).

Catholic placed four golfers inside the top 10 after Day 1, giving the Cardinals strong depth heading into the final round. Brooke Smith is fifth at 82 (+10), while Lauren Wright and Gabrielle Courtney are tied for sixth at 83 (+11). Meghan Mullen is tied for 10th after an 87 (+15).

Also inside the top 10 are Kennedy Petrovich (Susquehanna), tied for sixth at 83 (+11), and Kyleen McCance of Wilkes University in ninth at 84 (+12). Aliyia Kennedy of Elizabethtown College is also tied for 10th at 87 (+15).
