TOWSON, Md. - For the 10th straight year, the Landmark Conference Women’s Lacrosse Championship will come down to the same two teams: top-seeded University of Scranton and second-seeded Catholic University. The teams will face off on Saturday, May 2, for the championship game hosted by the University of Scranton at 3:30 p.m.

Scranton earned the top seed with a perfect 9-0 conference record and rolled past Susquehanna University, 13-4, in Wednesday’s semifinal. The Royals are looking to win their fourth consecutive Landmark championship. Jillian Lopez, the 2026 Offensive Player of the Year, leads the scoring effort with 72 goals and 12 assists, while Defensive Player of the Year Eileen Hewitt anchors the defense, helping hold conference opponents to just 50 goals this season.
Catholic University’s appearance marks its 18th consecutive trip to the conference championship. The Cardinals will take on the Royals in the title game for the 10th consecutive year, with the Landmark Conference championship at stake. Offensively, Henley Bredemann has 41 goals and 16 assists and is shooting an impressive .569 on the season.
Scranton won the regular-season meeting, 10-4. In the Landmark Conference Championship, Catholic controlled the early stretch of the series, winning six straight title game matchups from 2016 through 2022. Scranton has since flipped the momentum, winning each of the last three championship meetings in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
