Landmark Announces Softball All-Conference

TOWSON, Md. - The Landmark Conference has announced its 2026 Softball major award winners and All-Conference selections following the season.

Player of the Year: Kyra Holtje (Moravian University)
Pitcher of the Year: Sarah DeStefano (Moravian University)
Rookie of the Year: Gianna Muliero (University of Scranton)
Coaching Staff of the Year: Elizabethtown College

Kyra Holtje has been named the Player of the Year after an outstanding season. The sophomore becomes the ninth Greyhound in program history to receive this honor. She led the conference with 52 hits, ranked second in doubles with 14, and posted the third-best batting average at .416 while driving in 31 runs, the sixth-most in the conference. Holtje also added five home runs.

For the second year in a row, Sarah DeStefano is named the Pitcher of the Year, becoming just the third player in Landmark history to earn the honor twice, joining former Greyhounds Josie Novak and Jenna Carmon. This season, DeStefano once again excelled in the circle, posting a 13-5 record while piling up 83 strikeouts for a 1.30 earned run average. In conference play, she led the league with an impressive 0.38 ERA, while limiting opponents to a .217 batting average.

DeStefano is now a three-time All-Conference selection, earning Second Team honors in both 2023 and 2024, after also being named Rookie of the Year in 2022.

Gianna Muliero of the University of Scranton is named the Rookie of the Year. She is the third Royal to earn this honor, joining Sarah Stepnowski ‘24 and Jennifer Sweeney ‘22. In 34 games, Muliero totaled 39 hits, batted .364, had a .514 slugging percentage, and had 24 RBI, the 10th-most in the conference.

Elizabethtown’s coaching staff, led by head coach Bekah Slattery and assisted by Glen Pysher and Mark Kneasel, has been named the Coaching Staff of the Year. It marks the first time in program history that an Elizabethtown staff has earned this honor since joining the conference. Slattery guided the Blue Jays to a 22–18 record, securing the program’s most wins since 2012 and its first winning season since 2013. This season, the Jays were solid on both sides of the ball, with the Landmark's second-highest batting average and third-highest fielding percentage.
