  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Claire Hanratty (Susquehanna)
    May 02, 2016
    (Sr, OF - Severna Park, Md.) Hanratty bat for a .444 average over four games this past week with four hits (one double, one homer) and six RBI. She had a .538 on-base percentage and a .889 slugging percentage. She also drew three walks and struck out just once all week.
  • Women's Pitcher of the Week - Amanda Carisone (Moravian)

    (So, P - Neshanic Station, N.J.) Carisone helped Moravian to a 3-1 record last week as No. 18 Greyhounds concluded their regular season. Carisone had a 2-0 record with a 0.44 ERA in three appearances. She allowed two runs, one earned, on nine hits and three walks to go with 11 strikeouts in 16 innings as she became the 10th player in school history to reach 200 career strikeouts. Carisone also had four assists in the field.
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Julie Siragusa (Moravian)
    April 25, 2016
    (Jr, LF - Cranford, N.J.) Sirgusa helped No.19 Moravian to a 4-0 week including a sweep at Juniata College as the Greyhounds finished the Landmark Conference regular season at 11-1. Siragusa hit .700 last week (7-for-10) with five extra bases hits (four doubles and a triple) for a 1.300 slugging percentage. The four doubles increased her school record to 20 for the season, and she drew one walk for a .727 on-base percentage.
  • Women's Pitcher of the Week - Josie Novak (Moravian)

    (So, P - Neshanic Station, N.J.) Novak was 3-0 last week while helping No. 19 Moravian to a 4-0 mark including a doubleheader sweep at Juniata College to finish the Landmark Conference season at 11-1 and the top seed in the conference tournament. Novak had a 0.81 ERA for the week as she allowed two runs and eight hits with no walks during the week. She added 30 strikeouts in 17.1 innings of action. Novak had one shutout during the week and earn both victories in a non-conference sweep of Eastern University, and she tossed a career-high and school record 16 strikeouts in the opener.
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Shannon Stricker (Scranton)
    April 18, 2016
    (Jr., SS - Morrisville, Pa) Stricker was dominant at the plate on the week, as the Royals went a perfect 6-0 overall to bump their record up to 14-10 on the year. She had multiple-hits in five of the six games on the week and reached base in 16 of the 20 at-bats she had in the six games. The junior was a perfect 4-for-4 in the second Juniata game, falling a home run short of hitting for the cycle, and hit her sixth and seventh career home runs during the week, along with her fifth and sixth career triples, as well.
  • Women's Pitcher of the Week - Amanda Carisone (Moravian)

    (So, P - Neshanic Station, N.J.) Carisone helped No. 19 Moravian to a 6-0 week and the program's 22nd consecutive postseason appearance. She was 3-0 for the week with a 0.37 ERA, two shutouts, one walk and 22 strikeouts in 19 innings pitched. Carisone started the week with a two-hit shutout and a career-high tying 11 strikeouts in a 1-0 win over DeSales, and then she tossed a three-hit shutout in an 8-0, five inning victory versus Drew with seven strikeouts. Carisone finished the week with a 6-1 win over Susquehnanna with four strikeouts as Moravian clinched the top seed in the 2016 Landmark Conference Tournament.
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Holly Bettinger (Juniata)

    (Sr., P - Hummelstown, Pa.) Bettinger had quite the week for the Eagles. She went a combined 7-for-14 (.500) in four games for JC and had three extra base hits. She scored three runs and batted in seven. She had three RBI in Juniata wins over Wilson and Elizabethtown. In the E-town series, Bettinger was 3-for-6 with two home runs and four RBI. The win over the Blue Jays is Juniata's first in seven years and snapped E-Town's 11-game winning streak over the Eagles.
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Julie Siragusa (Moravian)

    (Jr, LF - Cranford, N.J.) Siragusa helped No. 21 Moravian to a 4-0 week as the Greyhounds ran their winning streak to eight games. Siragusa hit .467 (7-for-15) with four runs and six RBI. She added two doubles, a triple and a homer for a .933 slugging percentage and a walk for a .471 on-base percentage. Siragusa hit safely in all four games, and she added two putouts in the field.
  • Women's Pitcher of the Week - Josie Novak (Moravian)

    (So, P - Neshanic Station, N.J.) Novak won a pair of games last week for the the No. 21 Greyhounds as the squad extended its winning streak to eight games. Novak had a 0.50 ERA for the week with one earned run on seven hits and six walks to go with 14 strikeouts in 14 innings of action. Novak raised her career total to 250 strikeouts and is now one win shy of 30 in her career.
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Amanda Neveroski (Susquehanna)
    March 28, 2016
    (Sr, P/OF - Toms River, NJ.) Neveroski hit for a .529 average over four games with nine hits, four runs and 11 RBI. She had one double and one triple and finished the week with a .529 on-base percentage and a .706 slugging percentage. She also struck out just once in 17 at-bats and had one stolen base.
  • Women's Pitcher of the Week - Amanda Carisone (Moravian)

    (So, P - Neshanic Station, N.J.) Carisone tossed a pair of shutouts in the circle to help No. 19 Moravian to a 4-0 record during the week. Carisone scattered five hits and two walks while striking out seven batters in 12 innings over her two shutouts. Carisone also had three assists in the field and started a double in her win at Scranton.
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Jackie Gore (Susquehanna)
    March 21, 2016
    (Fr, INF - Lafayette, N.J.) Gore started both games against Drew at first base and finished with a .750 batting average, two home runs, eight RBI, two walks, four runs scored and no strikeouts. She had a .833 on-base percentage and a 2.750 slugging percentage. She had one home run in each game with both coming as "walk-off" home runs (the first won the game vs. Drew, the second ended the game via the mercy rule).
  • Women's Pitcher of the Week - Josie Novak (Moravian)

    (So, P - Neshanic Station, N.J.) Novak had a 2-0 record in three appearances for the No. 18 Greyhounds as the squad went 3-1 during the week with a split versus Catholic in the Landmark Conference opener for both squads. Novak had a 2.52 ERA in 16.2 innings as she allowed six runs on 11 hits and five walks to go with 23 strikeouts. Novak recorded a career high 13 strikeouts in a 3-0 shutout of Neumann University, and she had a putout and three assists in four chances in the field.
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Heather Ronchi (Drew)

    (So, OF - Leonia, N.J.) Sophomore Heather Ronchi bat .556 (15-for-27) during a 6-2 week for the Rangers at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic in Florida. She hit in seven of eight games, with all seven coming as multi-hit games. She drove in a total of seven runs, all in Drew victories. Ronchi scored eight runs and ran her slugging % to .667 with three doubles, while striking out just once in 29 plate appearances. She also made just one error in 28 total chances playing both catcher and center field.
  • Women's Pitcher of the Week - Bethany Budner (Drew)

    (Fr, P/1B - Hazlet, N.J.) Freshman starting pitcher Bethany Budner started her career in sparkling fashion, going 5-0 in the circle with an ERA of 0.48 in four starts and five appearances last week. She struck out 18 in 29.1 innings of work while giving up 20 hits and five walks for a WHIP of under 1.00. In her Spring Break finale, she fired a one-hit shutout in five innings, her fourth complete-game effort of the week. Budner's signature win came in relief, when she threw 5.1 innings of scoreless softball with four strikeouts as the Rangers rallied for seven unanswered runs to erase a 6-0 deficit and win.
  • Women's Athlete of the Week - Kristina Lozupone (Catholic)
    March 07, 2016
    (Jr, C - Dunkirk, Md.) Lozupone was on fire for CUA at the PFX Spring Games in Clermont, Fla. The junior catcher hit over .600 (15-of-24) over eight games, going 7-1 for the week and 8-2 to start the season. Lozupone hit the walk-off RBI single to beat Mount Union, 7-6 and totaled 15 hits, seven runs, five walks two doubles and 13 RBI.
  • Women's Pitcher of the Week - Kelly Lynch (Catholic)
    March 07, 2016
    (Fr, P - Eldersburg, Md.) CUA's rookie pitcher showing impressive stuff in the circle, going 4-0 last week with four compolete games and a shutout. She struck out 21 for the week, including nine against Roger Williams and eight against Ohio Northern. She boasted only six earned runs allowed over 29 innings pitched. In her last three games, she allowed only two runs over 21 innings.
