  • Athlete of the Week - Megan Zinn, Scranton
    April 29, 2019
    (Jr., OF - Bridgewater, N.J.) Junior Megan Zinn had a record-breaking week for the Royals, as Scranton clinched a spot in the Landmark Conference playoffs with a pair of victories over Elizabethtown. She broke single-season school records in both hits (64) and doubles (20) with her performance at Elizabethtown on Saturday, as she went 6-for-8 on the day with four RBI. She had nine RBI total and has posted a hit in 35 of the 40 games the Royals have played in on the 2019 season.
  • Pitcher of the Week - Alexandria Scheeler, Moravian
    April 29, 2019
    (Fr., P - Telford, Pa., 12) Moravian freshman Alexandria Scheeler earned the victory in the circle in the opening game versus Juniata College as the No. 12 Greyhounds won their 30th game of the season, the fifth straight and 20th overall 30-win season. Scheeler allowed an unearned run on five hits and no walks to go with four strikeouts in a 12-1, five inning win. At the plate, Scheeler was 3-for-6 with four RBIs, three runs and a double.
  • Athlete of the Week - Jasmine Vera, Drew
    April 22, 2019
    (So, 2B - Dumont, N.J.) Drew sophomore Jasmine Vera hit .571 (4-for-7) with a double and a triple in a doubleheader sweep of Purchase. She went 2-for-3 with a double in the opener - a 4-2 Ranger victory - before going 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs in the nightcap as the Rangers won 10-2 in six innings.
  • Pitcher of the Week - Meghan Bauer, Moravian
    April 22, 2019
    (So., P - Perkasie, Pa.) Moravian sophomore Meghan Bauer earned a win and a save in a 3-1 week for No. 11 Moravian last week in non-conference action. Bauer had a 0.00 ERA with a shutout, six strikeouts and just six hits and two walks allowed in 9.1 innings of action. Bauer tossed all seven innings with three strikeouts in a 12-0 shutout of Eastern University. She then came in a tossed the final 2.1 innings with three strikeouts to earn a save in a 5-4 win at Ursinus College.
  • Athlete of the Week - Emma Varrato, Elizabethtown
    April 15, 2019
    (Sr, 2B/SS - Allentown, Pa.) Elizabethtown senior became the program's all-time hits leader with a single in game two against F&M, one of her nine hits over the team's four games this past week. Varrato hit .643 for the week with two doubles and a three-run home run at Juniata in game two of a sweep of the Eagles. She was 4-for-6 in two games, both wins, against F&M at home last Thursday. Varrato drew three walks and did not strike out in 14 at-bats. Defensively, she had a perfect fielding percentage at second base for the Blue Jays.
  • Pitcher of the Week - Amber Sergas, Elizabethtown
    April 15, 2019
    (Sr, P - Royersford, Pa.) Elizabethtown senior Amber Sergas went 2-0 this week with a save for the Blue Jays, who won all four games, including two in Landmark Conference play. Sergas threw two complete games, one on Thursday against F&M and one on Saturday at Juniata, both wins. In four total appearances this past week, Sergas struck out 11 batters, including six on her start against the Diplomats. Sergas came in to pitch the final 1.2 innings in game two against F&M to earn the save. She threw eight innings in Saturday's eight-inning 9-4 win at Juniata. She pitched two innings of scoreless relief in game two.
  • Athlete of the Week - Alexandria Scheeler, Moravian
    April 08, 2019
    (Fr., P - Telford, Pa.) Moravian freshman Alexandria Scheeler hit .550 to helped No. 14 Greyhounds to a 6-0 for the week and clinch the program's 25th straight postseason appearance. Scheeler was 11-for-20 at the plate with three runs, four doubles and six RBI as she hit safely in all six games. She added a .571 on-base percentage and a .750 slugging percentage. Scheeler also had a 3-0 mark and a 1.00 ERA with four runs, just three earned on 20 hits and three walks to go with three strikeouts in 21 innings of action in the circle. She also had one putout and six assists in seven chances in the field.
  • Pitcher of the Week - Sabrina Scott, Catholic
    April 08, 2019
    (Jr., P/1B - Medford, N.J.) Catholic junior Sabrina Scott picked up two wins for the Cardinals last week. She tossed 23.0 innings, allowing 14 hits, four runs, and fanned 13 batters for an earned run average of 1.22.
  • Athlete of the Week - Heather Alich, Scranton
    April 01, 2019
    (Fr., C/IF - Bath, Pa.) Scranton freshman Heather Alich had a hit in all but one game on the week for the Royals, as Scranton went 5-1 overall to push their record to 16-6 overall for the season. She had five multiple-hit games, including a four-RBI performance against Cedar Crest on Monday, and posted an RBI and a triple in a tough 6-5 loss to Catholic in the nightcap of the Landmark doubleheader between the teams on Saturday. The rookie did not strikeout in 18 at-bats for the week.
  • Pitcher of the Week - Claire Sturek, Catholic
    April 01, 2019
    (Jr., P - Springfield, Va) Catholic junior Claire Sturek threw a perfect game through 5.2 innings against Washington College on Saturday. She allowed just one hit and fanned eight batters in six innings. In conference play, the junior tossed a complete game against Scranton, fanning eight batters. On the week, she tossed 13 innings, picked up two wins, and struck out 16 batters.
  • Athlete of the Week - Jennifer Sweeney, Scranton
    March 25, 2019
    (So., P/IF - Dumont, N.J.) Scranton sophomore Jennifer Sweeney was dominant at the plate on the week, as she notched six multiple-hit games as the Royals went 5-1, winning their last five contests of the week. Her best game came against Juniata on Sunday, as she went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and a season-best six RBI, while also smacking a grand slam in the fourth inning of the game. She also hit a three-run home run against Marywood on Wednesday in an eventual 12-1 win. On the week, she hit .684 (13-for-19) with three doubles, three homeruns, 17 RBI, three walks, and one stolen base.
  • Pitcher of the Week - Meghan Bauer, Moravian
    March 25, 2019
    (So., P - Perkasie, Pa.) Moravian sophomore Meghan Bauer earned her first career victory and shutout and pitched in both games of the Greyhounds' Landmark Conference sweep at Elizabethtown College. She did not allow a run and scattered three hits and five walks while striking out 11 batters over seven innings of work. Bauer struck out all three batters she faced in the final inning of a 10-1 win in the opener. She then added eight more strikeouts in a 9-0, 6-inning shutout in game two.
  • Athlete of the Week - Shannon Brogan, Moravian
    March 18, 2019
    (So., DP/2B/LF - Clark, N.J.) Moravian sophomore Shannon Brogan led the Greyhounds at the plate in a 4-0 week that saw the Greyhounds score 57 runs and hit .524 as a team. She had a .778 average, going 7-for-9, with five runs, two doubles, two triples, three RBI and a walk for a 1.444 slugging percentage and a .727 on-base percentage. Brogan hit safely in all four games and has a hit in 13 straight contests, and she added one putout and two assists while seeing action at second base, left field and designated player. She was 3-for-5 with two runs, a triple and two RBI versus Gwynedd Mercy in wins of 18-4 and 17-1, and Brogan went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a triple, three runs and an RBI in a sweep of Drew University, 12-1 and 1-0, to begin the Landmark Conference season.
  • Pitcher of the Week - Katie Murphy, Susquehanna
    March 18, 2019
    (Fr., P - Havre de Grace, Md.) Susquehanna freshman Katie Murphy posted a 1-1 record in her two complete game appearances. Murphy tossed a four-hitter with a season-best 10 strikeouts in the 3-1 win over Keene State. In the two-run loss to Westminster (Pa.), she gave up no earned runs with three strikeouts. Murphy only walked two batters between her two appearances. On the week, she posted a 0.50 earned run average.
  • Athlete of the Week - Alexandria Scheeler, Moravian
    March 11, 2019
    (Fr., P - Telford, Pa.) Moravian freshman Alexandria Scheeler led the Greyhounds at the plate with a .538 average as the squad posted a 6-2 record at the Spring Games in Clermont, Florida, and she also made five appearances in the circle with a 2-0 mark, a 4.01 ERA and six strikeouts in 22.2 innings. Scheeler was 14-for-26 with two runs, three doubles, a triple, five RBI, a stolen base, a .556 on-base percentage and a .731 slugging percentage, and she also had four assists in the field. Scheeler hit safely in all eight games during the week.
  • Pitcher of the Week - Paige Lesher, Moravian
    March 11, 2019
    (Jr., P - Mohrsville, Pa.) Moravian junior Paige Lesher had a 4-0 week in the circle in five appearances to help the Greyhounds go 6-2 at the Spring Games in Clermont, Florida. Lesher posted a 1.66 ERA as she allowed 10 runs, just six earned on 29 hits and four walks to go with nine strikeouts in 25.1 innings. She also had one putout and six assists in seven chances in the field.
  • Athlete of the Week - Kody Streeter, Susquehanna
    March 04, 2019
    (So, IF - Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown) Susquehanna sophomore Kody Streeter helped Susquehanna open up the 2019 campaign with a 2-1 record. Streeter hit .571 over three games on four hits, including a double and a triple, in seven at-bats. She also recorded three RBI and stole a base. As shortstop, Streeter collected four putouts and four assists with an error for an .889 fielding percentage. She connected on a career-best two hits twice and drove in a career-high two runs in the win over Southern Virginia. Streeter also notched her first extra-base hits of her career.
  • Pitcher of the Week - Alyssa Wilkinson, Elizabethtown
    March 04, 2019
    (Jr, P/1B - Quakertown, Pa.) In her first start of the season, Elizabethtown junior Alyssa Wilkinson needed only five innings to get her first win as the Blue Jays beat Rosemont 10-1 in five. Wilkinson allowed only one run and struck out four while surrendering just four hits.
